I'm haunted by past regret. Time wasted, opportunities squandered, embarrassing moments, etc. Ironically, wasting time thinking about this s*** means I waste more time, |
I have this sometimes too, usually when I have too much free time to reflect on things. I'd add people I've hurt to the list - there have been a few. I occasionally wonder whether I should make an attempt to go back and make contact again to try to set things right. Then again I think they've probably moved on with their lives and don't want the past dragged up again and I might be doing it for myself more so than for them.
But you're right in saying it's a waste of time. There's not really any benefit to dwelling on this sort of thing, in fact to the contrary.
Nice to see some other metal heads around, btw! |

Um ok yuo love those statements, American people are not their government. I make it very clear to basically every American that I like them individually ( or not in some cases) but that I hate the government.

Basically is this, we both know that is not true, you do hold Americans responsible for the american government so when people say they like Americans but don't like the government it really is not true, you know how many times I have been told by non Americans they like Americans but not the government only to have them make me be accountable for my government actions then demand an explanation/justification from me for why we, they use the word we, do the things we do? I've been through it enough times in Canada, and in Europe, particularly Germany for some reason, to know it is not true when they say they like Americans but not the government, they may think that way but there conversations and actions prove otherwise.
Like I said its the same argument "I'm not racist because I have a black friend" doesn't prove you are not a racist against black people. So what if you like some Americans individually, it doesn't mean you are not anti American overall, in fact just reading the rant you gave in the post I'm quoting you can already see some of your anti American directed at the citizens of USA and not the government. |

Don't tell me what I think is true or not.
When the American system offers you two choices, and the Americsn people vote on these choices,I can hardly blame the everage American.
I do not hold you accountable, you have a terrible system of government one that will continue to perpertuate greed, selfishness and other bad qualitiies, This was entrenched in your government long before you were born. I do not blame the cogs in the machine for the failure of the machine.
So again, do not tell me what I think or beleive, and do not tell me if something I have said is true. You are wrong. |
