Yeah, he is. Was he trying to buy from you or sell something to you?

neither. He was yelling at me, actually. About some dude that was supposed to buy something from him that didn't.

Oh, and I would love to see these...

Wow. That guy actually PMed me about buying my DS. Should I set up the meet in case he's actually interested and we could all give him a collective beat down?

I thought it was fishy when I promoted his items as valuable and he just said he didn't care and he'd be willing to let it go for 250k...

Yeah....saw that post and thought this guy was a bit too good to be true.

Everybody highballs in the BST forum. Rightfully so. It's the first rule of trade. Ask for a higher price than you expect to get at first, then settle for a bit less later.

This guy seemed to not be highballing. Too nice a price right off the mark. I have to say, I considered putting in a bid for his fictional netbook. But then I remembered my mantra......don't buy a netbook, don't buy a netbook.......they're cute and funky, but they only do surfing and a bit of video...

Take the following items:

1. Korean/English translator friend
2. ID card/Passport
3. Updated bank book or internet printout
4. If you live near Namdaemun, go to a station there (that is where the account is being held at KEB which somehow makes it better?)
5. All correspondence and listings you have for this guy.

File a complaint and have them send KEB a fax asking to put stops on his account.

The police (I talked to many today) were a mix bag. Some were really helpful, some less so and some seemed pretty rude (my Korean is lacking so I really am not sure).

More than likely, there will be nothing that will come of this, but if something were to happen, then it least I am in line with my hands out and my fists up!

I would encourage anyone affected to at least make the complaint and attempt it. If we don't at least try, then this will only get worse.

The only way to stamp out darkness is to shine a light on it!

well besides that, if you took a look at the games he listed, they were all premium and high in demand games..

The games alone were worth the pricepoint.. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I actually did some mental calculations on this when I first started thinking that I was getting scammed and all I could think was that I could sell most of the games and almost pay for the unit.

I like to refer to that thought as "I am getting scammed bad thought" #1... Rolling Eyes

Please send a PM of what happened to you to

Mr. Kalgukshi

one of the moderators. He is telling me that nobody else is complaining about khg, MOD EDIT. Help him out by sending an account of what happened to you individually.

Thanks.

BTW if you do go to the police, my case number is 2010006932 with the Namdaemun police. Have them reference that in your report.
