Thanks Red Devil. I can't say I'm pulling for them, but that's really neither here nor there. I actually don't watch soccer at all, but I thought I'd dust off the old crystal ball.

Just for fun, I'll go ahead and lay down Korea's next two matches:

2-1 Argentina wins a tough one, but I think their forwards and midfield is a lot better than Greece's on its best day.

1-0 Nigeria. I'm going on a limb here, but I (being the vagabond that I am) lived in Africa for three years, so my heart is with all four sides. Plus, I think the Nigerian support will be something incredible. I think this will be a grudge match, because this will decide the runner's up slot.

Of course, these scenarios are based on Argentina winning tonight. If Nigeria wins, I think all bets are off in this group!

I think this match proved without a doubt that Greece will be the bottom feeders of the group. I'm disappointed, I was really hoping for a Greek surprise but it wasn't meant to be. Congrats to the Korean team.

The game was great and was by no means Greece's game to lose. Dae Han Min Guk completely outclassed them with superior defense and hard work. Greece actually looked like they didn't give a flying beep until the final 5-10 minutes of play which was very disappointing but all in all, it was SK who was the better team in every category.

Park Ji Sung's goal was brilliant and after watching him during the match it is clear that the guys level of talent is above everyone else's due to his experience with MAnU. The guy is a damn good player and hardly over rated.

Even if SK loses against Argentina I hope they can just put on a good show. They certainly have the talent and the team cohesion to do so.

The only thing that pissed me off during the game was the table of Korean princesses beside me that were bitching more about Kim Jung Woo's (who basically anchored the team at midfield) ugliness whenever a goal wasn't scored. They clearly were clueless about the game and had absolutely no appreciation for it.

Complete domination by Korea. A superb match for them.

Greece was never in it.

A big 3 points in the bank....and the game was not boring...could have been 4-0.

I think a vastly under-rated player is Cha Du Ri. He was EVERYWHERE on the field. If you looked at the stats they put up now and then, his side of the field was clearly dominant over the Greek side. He was young when he played in 2002. He didn't play in 2006. I think he'll be a surprise defensive star in 2010~

Greece has NEVER won a World Cup game. What did you expect?

They are the equivalent of Togo.

No. It's just that they have never scored a goal in world cup.

The night wasn't a total wash though, New Zealand beat Ireland 68-28 to maintain their unbeaten streak. I was a little worried about this test, as the AB's didn't look sharp last year and a number of new faces making their debut for the side. If anyone wants to see one of the most bizarre red cards in rugby:

I mean, right in front of the referee?! Are you kidding?

Conrad Smith scored a beauty of a try to open things up, and the AB's took full advantage of being one man up. They took their foot off it in the second half, but a great start for the June internationals (which hopefully will lead to a Tri Nations win).

Why the slight to Togo? Togo can actually score. Smile

I knew Greece wasn't a favorite, but I was surprised they were that bad.

Brazil 5
North Korea 0

I don't think Buk Han will score a goal in this tournament.

Saw the news today, close to one million Koreans in the streets watching the game? Wow, did the PC bangs close for the day or something?
