I saw a long, brown one on a dusty mountain trail in Jeollanam-do. It was morning of a weekday and no one else was hiking that I saw. It was sunning itself. I watched it from a distance for a while then went to get closer to take a picture and it slithered off. It was thin but must have been 1.5m-2m.

I also saw a smallish green one eating a small frog in Gangwando. Looked like a baby snake to me. But I know nothing about snakes so maybe it was an adult.. less than 50cm I think anyway. The frog was a baby frog too.

Regarding the boars: I remember reading in 2004 that a wild boar ran around Seoul and trashed some shops and stuff.. I don't remember what area of Seoul that was in as I lived in Jeolla at the time and knew nothing of Seoul. It wasn't long apart from the time an elephant also ran around Seoul trashing stuff. The elephant was not wild, I think it was part of some ill-planned parade or something.
