Many of us have 18 days. 8 are to be taken in summer, and 10 in winter. I take 5 in summer then a nice long warm holiday in winter. Some schools do follow the contract exactly though. It's idiocy, but whatever. We can study, finish those lesson plans, and kill time online and still get paid. Now if only there was AC.

Hitler's dead.

Before Hitler died, Hitler made an appearance on the midnight runner podcast, and he said that not only was his morale so low, but he was shamed confucianism style about korean best teachers getting longer vacations and that's why he was going to drink the Jim Jones koolaid.

Just like former presidents of the best country in the world, he should have not worried about saving face, and if not literally then allegorically grow a pair instead of killing himself.

Hitler's dead.

It doesn't, or at least shouldn't, need to explain. Its meaning is obvious.

AND its incorrect, which was always my point

Okay, guys. I can understand that being forced to do nothing for most of the summer or winter would be very frustrating. It would be frustrating for me too. But don't you think that turning a very serious World War II movie into a parody to make a point, is a bit in poor taste?

After all, several years ago, I remember some of you (English teachers) were complaining about a Korean advertisement which had the model dressed in a Nazi uniform. And of course, you were right to complain because it was in poor taste.

Just something to consider...

Bingo. I was made to deskwarm in my SMOE nightmare PS. I spent weeks coming into a dungeon classroom in a Seoul winter - when only the janitor was in the school - for 8 mind numbing hours. The only human contact I had, and I use the word 'human' sparingly, was when the janitor came in to check I was at my desk.

Well done SMOE. Well done Korea.

For the life of me - I'll never understand idiots on here who defend deskwarming. It has to be one of the most de-motivating management strategies practiced in Korea. To me, it just shows that our employers aren't culturally sensitive enough (or have the intellectual width), to employ western people.

Rant not over - by a long chalk.

PS> You guessed it. I'm currently desk warming at my EPIK school.
