That's right jrwhite 82.

Tell us how it is. Tell us how deplorable the others are when their actions (though legal in this country) differ from your morality.

Then tell us how sweet you are. How you are so benevolent, how your acts of consideration are so shiny, they make others look dull in comparison

You know what's really deplorable? Plunkheads on Dave's who need to put others down by telling everyone how great he/she is because they don't measure up to his/her moral yardstick.

You sad little person.

I'm a moral relativist and understand both perspectives. Especially since it's legal here.

However, keeping money that wasn't meant for you is a pretty selfish thing to do. (If the circumstances were different and it was a bad hagwon who didn't pay OT and such then I'd think differently.) I certainly don't believe in karma, however, if other people found out that you did this I'd be worried about what they thought of you as a person.

I'm certain that most people would agree with this.

I'd also keep the personal insults out to have your argument appear as strong as possible. Let it speak for itself.

That's funny.

I don't remember asking for any advice.

BTW, I love free advice. I also know the right value to put on it.

To be fair, JR did submit that esl is a loser. That's bound to get anyone's goat.

Let's just all be glad that OP did ultimately pay up.

Thanks for the backup, shifty.

It's totally unfair to call me a loser unless you have met me at least once.

Then, at least you will have empirical evidence to support your claim.

BTW, was that loser comment directed at me, do you think, or all Dave's posters?

Does all it take is one meeting with you to realize you're a loser? Wink

Sorry ESLwriter. I'm just thinking you're a bit selfish for keeping money that isn't yours and condoning that others do it too is not the right thing to do.

jr,

Sometimes a phone call is enough.

But the line is drawn at a message board post. How bout a PM? A little more personal.

But seriously, the law is not the end all be all of morality. In a lot of cases, people can be more moral by adhering to higher standards than the minimum laid out in the law of the land don't you think?
