I don't like sitting at pubs and listening to indie bands, I like partying. Indie music and hipster culture are very far from what I can relate to. But dancing around to girly music that's so loud you can't hear yourself think is just gay. It's anti-game too, so I don't want to hear any of this business about how I'm just mad because I have no game. Why dance to fruity music when you can be gaming on girls or telling jokes to your friends?

Yeah I admit it- I can't dance. That's like saying that someone sucks at paper mache. There are other ways to game girls, dancing actually gets in the way of it unless you're very exceptional.

I have nothing against a good groove. Electro, or funk is all good. This stuff is just gay though. It sucks.

And, to those people debating hip hop:
http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/11/18/116-black-music-that-black-people-dont-listen-to-anymore/

How do you know I'm white? Maybe I'm Iranian-American. You have no way of knowing from just this text.

Anyway, rap used to be about kicking ass. I'm not talking about that jazzy, artsy crap that hipsters love, I'm talking about Scarface and what-not. The real down and dirty stuff. That was man music, just like metal.

Now it's like the Backstreet Boys on steroids.

Oh yeah how does a white person write compared to a non-white person? So non-whites can only write with bad grammar and talk about dancing huh?

I'd rather dance, keep in top shape, and coast on looks than "game" women.

I completely understand. Don't get the wrong impression, I'm not knocking your sexual orientation. You go be fabulous, I'll work on actually having fun and getting with women.

By the way, don't you guys need to have a little bit of game too? If you want to attract the hottest guys, you can't be thinking that you can coast on looks alone. Just some free advice, but what do I know, I'm into chicks.

Anyway, you might want to get your racism checked. Brah.

I don't see your point. Non-whites can't use words like 'vapid' or 'garbage'? They have to act like a dumb-ass minstrel all the time? Oops looks like I just used another white word.

It's okay to be prejudiced though because you've got flava and rhythm.

You're just another chump, dude.

Anyway, before Adam Lambert over here opened his smart mouth, I was talking about something.

Oh yeah, it doesn't really matter because the world is going to hell in a handbasket and pretty soon we'll have bigger worries than this. The writing is on the wall and the ridiculous crap you see in the entertainment media is just a symptom, or an indicator, of how much we've degraded. This is Rome, 410 AD, Pt. II.

What, just because we have a black president and the majority of artists are colored means we're doomed?

Red herrings are fun for the trollz, ain't they?

Hahah you'll see what I'm talking about soon enough, sweetie. Or maybe you won't- doesn't matter to me.

Anyway, it's 7:00 over in Korea so you should get to sleep. I bet you've got a big night planned at Always Homme tommorrow.

Reagan was part of the same system as Obama. So was Bush. They're puppets anyway.

Who wants to hear a good rap song?

What's better- this, or the songs that cupcake dances to?

It's not a race thing. It's an age thing. I'm 27. 70% of the music I listen to was made in this decade. most people are the same. They listen to the music they listened to in their late teens and twenties.

I guaruntee that most white people who only listen to 90s rap are in their 30s. i'd also wager that black guys in their 30s do the same thing.

BaldTeacher:

Taste is subjective. While you may argue that your preferences are more technically superior or lyrically complex, this doesn't necessitate as better for some people. I, for instance, like it when vocals come a little off key or off beat.

Of course, this: http://youtu.be/4Uh4ofUrXaE
is about the only "rap" or "hip hop" or whatever I listen to (other than 36 Chambers era Wutang) so my taste is exceptionally questionable.

heir to Biggie's legacy or something.

Biggie doesn't have a legacy. Fat bastard only put out two albums. Both were solid, and dude had skills, but he would have faded into obscurity if he hadn't been shot.

Depends on how you look at it. I tend to judge top rappers on how many classic(really top drawer) albums they made. Biggie has one, Nas has one, Jay Z has one(the blueprint imo). I don't really care how many they made total.

Nowadays, because of the massive amount of music rappers make due to mixtapes, I go more by their complete resume. For example, none of lil wayne albums are really top drawer(carter III is marginal) but two of his mixtapes (dedication III and Drought 3) are right there. Its also easier to see rappers evolve these days. A rapper like Curren$y has changed alot over several mixtapes before his first album. Lil wayne was mediocre but changed remarkeably over a crap load of mix tapes. Rappers nowadays get more practice in a way..

But yea Biggie has a legacy. He had a jackhammer like flow..which might have got tired over several albums but he is still one of the best ever.

Reasonable Doubt is classic IMO.

Agree.

Bullet Proof Wallets was better than Fishscale.
I love Ghostdini, but after Fishscale only a handful of
singles I like.

Illmatic was classic cause he was only 20 (good storyteller)
and Large Pro, Primo, Pete Rock and more produced
some really good music.

I know, right? It's like audio diarrhea. And the kids are really ugly-looking too, and just screaming in the poor girls' ears...
