Hi Italy-
Really? Had no idea.
Americans get at least 30-days, right?

Yes Americans can get a tourist visa for up to 30 days. You still have to fill out a rather complicated visa form and go into the Russian consulate to get it approved. You also need someone that is in Russia to sponsor the visa for you. So unless you have friends or family that reside in Russia you will have to pay a travel agency to sponsor it for you.

I wouldn't recommend travelling to Vladivostok either, there really isn't much to do there since it is mainly an industrial and shipping city. If you do decide to go to Russia, taking the Trans-Siberian railway from Vladivostok to Moscow is a great trip. If you are going to Russia for the first time I would recommend Moscow or St. Petersburg. I lived in Moscow for almost two years, and couldn't even come close to exploring all it had it offer.

I am actually planning on going back to Russia this summer for a month. But I have several friends willing to sponsor my visa and the Russian consulate has my information on file, so the visa application process isn't as bureaucratic anymore.

Russia? You must be joking. Do you have any idea how much entrance to a top club is? Even a dive club can be expensive, not to mention drinks and the number of gangsters and mobsters make Russia one of the least party destinations in Europe.

Oh and I forgot to say, oh my god. So there.

Do you want to go there? At any rate, it's not recommened for sane person, as the Russians have tendencies towards corruption)

Most things' that are very illegal here are completly legal on thier market( ie, selling/buying psychedelic drugs, escorting, monatary bribs, etc).it's all about "using what you got" to survive in The Capatilistic State. They do it and don't think twice about the morale.
