I'm not going to bother reading all the responses, but for me it was:

1. I stopped looking at other girls. The time to 'have fun' was over for me, and I knew I didn't want any other girl to marry.

2. Living in a small 1 bedroom offistel sucks. I want to move into a proper house, save money, then spend some of that hard earned money on a nice, fast car

3. I made the mistake of breaking up with the current gf a while ago, and when she accepted me when I came back, I wanted to turn that ugly experience around, and really make things work.

4. Try to imagine your future with her, what would she be like when you're 50? 60? 70? Imagine going through the worst and best, and if you want nobody else than her, than she's the one.

Like SOME of the other posters have set, if you're asking that question, now is not the right time. I myself have actually posted this same question a while back, although on another forum (Supraforums...lol)
