First of all I like how you group 'the Koreans' together. That's a little racist and makes your argument pointless.

You also group the 'Korean employer' and use the pronoun we to attempt to give the text a quality that there is a cohesiveness of opinion that Korean employers have a problem with FT's, where it is obvious they don't or we wouldn't be here.

But what I enjoy most about your posts is the fact that you believe you have the right to judge others. Get off your high horse, you are not as important as you think you are and what you believe to be moral really doesn't matter.

This is a forum, people complain........ get over it.

So in judging the responses, you are afraid to even discuss the issue. It proves my point that you are unwilling to grant the Koreans the same rights you demand for yourselves.

The Korean employer can't win under your thinking because no matter which way they turn, you will find someting wrong and change the rules to benefit you. Isn't that right?

You are also saying that inspite of the agreed to terms (contract signings, visa regulations agreed to, etc.) You want to do what you want no matter what. Is that right or moral?

Then by trying to get this thread to go away that says a lot about you and provides reasons why I can never support your arguments.

I think a thread insulting the moral character of NETs as a group is at least deserving of a warning if not outright suspension.

Nice distortion and wrong. I am surprised that one of the more honest people here can't even participate properly. I laid out some questions for people to give their opinion on and state what they think is moral or not.

Why? The word 'immoral' was used in the runner thread so why can't we get a consensus on what people think is moral and what isn't? Then at least we have some idea where people are coming from when they present their perspective.

It should enhance discussion but from what I see, people just want to do what is right in their own eyes, and get support from a majority of people so they feel good about doing it.

People who claim to be teachers should be able to discuss this issue like adults, yet they don't. Makes you wonder...

There is an implication by the OP, that he is honest, and those who disagree with him are not. Also, Korean employers are some monolith against the foreign teachers, which is inaccurate and part of the raison d'etre of the OP to have a binary argumention on the thread of Korean employers versus foreign employees, as if Korean employers are all of one mind, and foreigners are all of one mind. It's not the reality.

These kinds of threads are not needed here and violate the TOS. It provokes flame wars, the slandering wholesale of foreign teachers.

Not acceptable.

Updated TOS from January 2010

and a violation of article 2 of the original TOS as set forth by Dave.
See both if you have any questions.
