Oh right. Well as also mentioned, I live on a small island, there is only Lotteria. I can venture into Busan for BK or Mc'D (not that I like burgers enough and actually eat them often enough to go just for a burger) but as also previously mentioned - I find the QP unfullfilling and often have to buy two or three. They just do not fill me up but the Big Beef does.

In fact most Maccy D's food merely leaves you wanting to eat more Maccy D food....

Speaking of fast food burgers, I remember in Christmas of 2001 coming up to Seoul from Cheonan to have Burger King as a present to myself. Laughing

Cheonan got a BK a few months later, and they're everywhere in Seoul, but it was an odd Christmas that year.

And as I asked, if you're buying two, why don't you just get the double quarter pounder instead? Half a pound of meat should be enough to satisfy just about anyone.

Yeah, it's not bad. I'd literally have to journey fo 40 minutes though. Rather go with the Big Beef which is 3 mins away.

Same, but I tend to just avoid the Big Beef, despite the Lotteria being close by. It's not tasty enough to deserve fast food space. It's probably for the best that it doesn't appeal to me.

I really like Lotteria's Big Beef burger.

I'm with you on this, Floating World. Like you said, it's no gourmet burger but it gets the job done pleasantly enough. The only time I've had a bad experience with the '3B' is when some dude on the assembly line had a hard-on* for ketchup and dumped enough red on there to put a slasher flick to shame. Seriously, it was like drinking a bottle of V8 with a chunk of beef in my mouth.

* Metaphorically, I hope.

Reading this thread prompted me to cook cheeseburgers for my friends and I today. They were awesome. God I love home-cooked burgers.

My husband makes THE BEST burgers. We get a lot of beef ground up at the butcher, bring it home and make the burgers, and freeze them. Get some bleu cheese from a store and throw some bacon on there. Yummm.

Craftworks burgers are good, but I don't dig the choice of bread. The Ciabatta bread they make is good in itself, but I like a more traditional bun with a burger.

Has anyone tried the ribs at Craftworks?

I was gonna try Jacoby's but everyone I've spoken to said the service there is horrible.

I've heard Craftworks food is alright. Its not bad but nothing to rave about. I, myself, have eaten there and while it is good, the food isn't something I would go out of my way to have.

I think Dillinger's does a good burger. Tuesday nights is burger and fries for 5,000. The burgers are thick and very juicy. Make sure to ask for the bacon cheese (cost just a little bit more). At 5,000w, get 2 orders.

I think the best burger i've ever had was at my friend's house back home. It was simple burger. Buns, beef, and ketchup. Damn, it wasn't the best thing I've had...EVER.

I remember the beef patty wasn't flat and thin. It was really thick, almost like a giant meatball that had the top and bottom just slightly flattened. Moist all the way through. That burger needed nothing but some ketchup. No onions, no lettuce, no anything.

Chili King: http://www.chilikingkorea.com/

Jacoby: http://ripcitytoseoul.com/2010/04/21/jacobys-burger/

For all the criticisms about the service at Jacoby...honestly, I didn't think it was that bad. And there is a monumental difference in quality between the garlic-infused wagyu patty I had THERE and the patties served at Lotteria (or, for that matter, Smokey's, Kraze, Fresher, etc.). The flavor, moisture, temperature, texture--they are superior, no ifs/ands/buts.

Jacoby makes a good burger.

Although now that I think about it...I'm really very fond of the cheeseburger served at the Hyatt hotels. I had one on Jeju and another at the Park Hyatt in Tokyo (never in Seoul, though)...really spectacular.

Here are some awesome cheeseburgers I can't afford: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/20/americas-most-expensive-b_n_102707.html
