So if you buy from Blizzard online, do you also have to pay a monthly fee? Or is the one off purchase all there is? I keep hearing different things...

You need a battlenet account to play, but there is no monthly fee.

Cheers...it costs about 45 pounds on the UK site so I'll think it over. For anyone playing - how is it?

Addicting, but I'm a fanboy when it comes to loot-fest games and played Diablo 2 for years. I've put in 40 hours already.

I swore to myself I wouldn't get it, but I finally caved after about 8 of my friends back home picked it up. Its rare I get to play anything with em anymore so I grabbed it (or tried, they've downgraded my account twice now because they say my payment through my bank isn't 'authorized').

So far its actually pretty good. Its your standard ARPG, and starts out rather slow. once you get into it and start getting some skills and loot starts actually dropping, it's a decent game. I will say that so far the story is rather predictable, though. Every "twist" I've called before it happened. Only in Act 2, however, so we'll see if that changes.
