I never said he was =).. i just said this kind of things have happened before... I have doubts that it happened to radcon. I get the feeling he's trying to be a joker and referring to how woody allen met his korean wife...
BUt I guess you never know...

This can't be a real story......

I assure you that this has happened.

I met my husband working at an electronics factory making scoreboards for the Olympics. It turns out we went to the same high school, and that his best friends from elementary school were my best friends from high school. He was homeschooled for part of high school, so the year I graduated and moved to Korea, he entered my high school as a junior. Later, after graduating from high school, he was working at the factory in a college town where I started working on my degree. After a year of working at the same factory and never meeting, I was transferred to his department and change shifts, and we started talking. It was weird how many things from our life we had in common.

One of the weirder things we found out is that both our great-grandmothers are buried in the same small town in New Mexico. We had to check to make sure we weren't related. That was kind of creepy.

Anyway, our 5-year wedding anniversary is in August. I always think it's kind of crazy that my husband, who had never even seen the ocean (let alone a foreign country!) before our honeymoon is so incredibly well-adjusted to life in Korea. In fact, I get homesick way more often than he does!

Interesting to hear how many people met their girlfriend just by approaching some random stranger on the street/subway/coffee shop ..

Kinda makes me feel like a bit of pu$$y for not trying out this method more often..

that is kinda the textbook definition of "meeting someone". that said, it's incredibly easy to do it as soon as you get over the mental hurdle of shyness because if you're not creepy about it most people actually enjoy a nice random chat.

My boyfriend of three years and I were neighbors our sophomore year of college and were introduced by a mutual friend who knew that we were neighbors. He also was in the same Arabic class as my best friend.

I wasn't interested in him for over a year but when he flashed his cell phone light into a dark pantry with no light for me to see which cereal to pick out while the guy I was in love with at the time just sat there and did nothing when I said the light wasn't working, I changed my mind Very Happy

Was at an ATM machine in a neighborhood store and placed my card on the machine to dig something out of my wallet. Card slipped through an opening of the machine casing and was lost.

My lady happened to be in the store and came over to help me with calling the SECOM people to get the card out...

Worked at the same hogwan... in fact, during 1 year that hogwan produced 4 couples that are now married. Must have been something about the director, upon finding out about all the dating, pulling aside the Korean females and telling them to stay the hell away from us.

Ahhh, forbidden fruit!

how did you start talking?

Sorry for late reply to this!

Basically we were both standing at the same door way area. I could see that she kept looking at me, wanting to strike up a convo. I took my headphones out to say hello and she had already started saying something...we both kind of laughed and took it from there. She had been on a work night out and had a couple of drinks and just wanted someone to chat to. Smile
