NOT! Nobody is 100% wrong or right when it comes to driving in Korea, if you're sitting at a red light and get rear-ended you will be partly at fault, the reasoning..."You Were There!" I know, it's foolish for someone to be sitting at a red light. |
I got rear-ended 2 times and side-swiped 2 times (all while being stationary) in the past 2 years, the latest being 2 weeks ago. I never paid anything; damages and rental cars all paid for by the culprits not paying attention while driving. |
That's because you and them didn't report it to the insurance companies, they paid you themselves so as to not report it. You got lucky they've had prior instances with accidents, insurance agencies, tickets, etc and didn't want to report it. That or they fooled you to think you got 100%. |

Um, the first 3 times THEIR insurance paid for it (damages and rental). My insurance was never called. In the most recent incident, the driver just paid for the damage in cash and insurance wasn't called. I didn't need a rental for that time.
Not sure why you think I was fooled when my insurance company was never called, I never paid for anything, and my premiums decrease every year. |
