I have generally had nothing but great service at the Canadian embassy, and my only complaint would be the ridiculous prices for some services. The passport renewal process is simple and quick. I didn't need a guarantor or even any other forms of ID except for my expiring passport and ARC. 3 weeks later it was ready. Getting forms notarized was easy, although expensive. I've never had a major problem that needed solving, so I can't vouch for those services.
I've also known a few people that have worked there (none currently) and have been into the building beyond the lobby and into the apartments upstairs. Those people work typical hours like any other government worker in Canada.
In the end, I don't really have any complaints about the place, except for the reception guys, who are Korean, at the door who made me wait an extra hour because they couldn't even come close to pronouncing my name, even though it is an extremely common name. |
