| The Koreans in this study, sampled in Australia, view their home country in a positive light, and generally also view Caucasians (represented by Australians in this study) positively. |
The survey was done IN AUSTRALIA. The survey was not taken in Korea so how can the authors claim that it represents a rejection of foreign teachers in Korea? Maybe they were paid to reach that conclusion? |
Any legitimate study would state very plainly that, due to the limitations of sampling, the findings are of exceptionally limited scope.
It obviously only applies to students living in a native-English speaking country where they're already getting exposure to native speakers anyway. It also obviously applies only to parents with the funds to send their kids abroad.
The idea that this could be applies to the Korean population as a whole is silly, and standard for Korean media. |
