Korean schools didn't even know what a reference was four years ago.

..usually they did not write you one. If they did, it was often a scathing attack because of one jealous coworker.

Well, I have been living in Korea for almost two months. I think both "sides" have some valid points. However, I would say that I did not anticipate how difficult it can really be here at times.
