I really don't see a problem with them, they are giving a positive imagine to foreigners in Korea, so that is a plus for me.

How are they giving a positive image to foreigners in Korea? Please explain.

I hate when people assume people are "haters" or "jealous" if other people genuinely just do not something.

1. Hater

A person that simply cannot be happy for another person's success. So rather than be happy they make a point of exposing a flaw in that person.

Hating, the result of being a hater, is not exactly jealousy. The hater doesn't really want to be the person he or she hates, rather the hater wants to knock someone else down a notch.

Excuse me but these people are in the public eye. They are technically entertainers - even celebrities. They are selling a product that demands the public to make a choice about whether they like them or not. How does saying that they suck or have stupid haircuts make someone a hater? Are you not allowed to say rude things about Justin Beiber nowadays either?

Please point out where I said that you are not allowed to say it.

It was hyperbole. So what exactly do you object to? Are you objecting to anything? What point are you trying to make about people being 'haters?' Are you saying you think people shouldn't say rude things about celebrities on an inernet forum? That you disapprove of people doing that? Is that what you're saying?

Looks like I struck a chord.

I was merely giving my opinion that you all are haters. Who cares if you don't like someone? I don't. I was just making an observation that the comments such as Simon being secretly gay means you don't just dislike the videos...it's something deeper...all haters do it.

I like making observations.

Why would I be happy for the success of people I don't know? At best I would be indifferent.
If I think they are acting in a way that would make people ask me, or a fellow teacher, to act in a way I find embarrassing and demeaning why is it unacceptable for me to dislike them?

Here's a nice definition for you.
Tolerate - Allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.

I tolerate Martina and Simon but why on earth would I be happy or pretend to like them?

Why does saying that Simon is gay make me a hater? I don't see anything wrong with being gay. For all you know I could be gay. It says more about you that you find being gay so repugnant that to say somebody might be gay makes me a hater.

Yeah you did. Enough people with your kind of attitude could eventually be a threat to freedom of speech.

Guilty as charged sir.

Considering that watching one of their videos made me feel violated, dirty, and needing a shower to cleanse myself, and given the queasiness that hit my stomach, ruining my digestion, and leading to a bathroom escapade worthy of a post-Taco Bell gorging, yes I am butthurt. And I am a hater.

If you have hate in your heart let it out. If you don't like Simon & Martina, don't meant there's something wrong with you. Means there's something wrong with Simon!

"I hate you, I hate you, and I don't even know you and I hate your guts. I hope all the bad things in life happen to you, and nobody else, but you."

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go home and put some water in Buck Nasty's Momma's dish.

Looks like you should take some of your own medicine. You are freaking out over me saying you are a hater.

And where did I say there was anything wrong with being gay? My problem was the implication that he was "secretly in hiding" and "waiting to come out" and how it was made to be something negative.

edward

As I said...I'm exercising my free speech to call you a hater. I never told you couldn't say bad things about them, but you continuously seem to think that's what I'm implying by calling you a hater.

I think you'll find I actually said mostly good stuff about them in this thread but still. My question was actually whether you disapprove of people saying bad things about people on the internet not about whether it should be allowed or not, but it looks like you prefer to sit on the fence on this and claim you are just making an observation. So be it

Don't know how I can be much clearer than that.

There is an obvious implication that when you use a negative term to describe people you are disapproving of their activities. 'Hater' is a negative term, so by using it you are showing your disapproval. If I went into an office and said 'there are lots of slackers in here', for example, can't you see that people would assume I was being critical of their working habits?
