| All this talk made me think of a classic song by AC. I think even linking it might get me banned, so I'll just leave the title- "Hitler Was a Sensitive Man". |

That's right, Hitler was a sensitive man and an idiot!
That's why he needed all them drugs in his days in the bunker, you know, to de-sensitize him, and then a dozen cream cakes to re-sensitize... wait on, isn't this Elvis? They were both idiots anyway! One of them was a good singer. |

This is an interesting video that talks about the subject of Hitler.
Hitler - I really think the guy was the antichrist. Nothing more than pure evil.
Here is a video that tries to rehabilitate him on youtube.

Treat it with caution. I'd guess the makers of it are anti-semites or some other class of racist.
It is interesting for passing the time if nothing else.
I think it sort of doesn't deny his crimes but also points out that Stalin, Churchill and the USA also commited crimes and those of course went unpunished.
I could compare Hitler to Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jackson - a despicable criminal that sent native Americans to their graves in an inhumane death march west just so settlers/invaders could get their hands on gold (the trail of tears)
Yet his face still stare out from a 20 dollar note.
How would you like to see a picture of Adolf on a 20 Euro note? |

| Hitler may have been an idiot, but a lot of people under his command sure weren't. |

Nope, Hitler was, not maybe, but definitely an idiot. All those under his command were also idiots.
As for Andrew Jackson: this isn't a mass murder thread but he was also an idiot. |

I know what many of you are probably thinking. "How can you say that Hitler - a man who turned the German economy around, restored law and order to the streets of Berlin and Munich, raised Germany's national standing, gave millions of his countrymen a new confidence vis-a-vis other countries, and was a European fashion icon - was an idiot." I can just see many of you spitting bile at your computer screen as you read this. "Is nothing sacred, any more? Hitler - an idiot. You're obviously the idiot, you dick. Show some respect." Well, hear me out. The reason I think Hitler was an idiot is because he didn't play chess. And the reason he didn't play chess was undoubtedly because it was invented by dark-skinned people, and was all too popular with east European commie unter-menschen. The latter fact probably also convinced him that there was also something undeniably "Jewish" about the whole affair. Anyhow, not being a chess player was one of his many failings as a war leader. I'm pretty much addicted to computer chess, and one thing you learn pretty quickly is that when you're beaten you're beaten. You stare at the screen and you know you've no chance, even though you might have a fair number of players still on the board. You've been out-maneouvered. Fighting it out until you've lost your very last pawn is a fool's errand. But that was Hitler's war strategy. "Fight to the very last man - not one man is to retreat from the front." A total idiot. Accept that a battle is lost, pull back, learn from your error and await the next attack. Time after time tens of thousands of German soldiers were unnecessarily wasted as cannon fodder in already lost battles. As the war was drawing to an end, with enemy armies approaching from east and west, he could have had hundreds of thousands of extra soldiers ready to defend Germany's borders, and Berlin itself. Instead, they were all in their graves or in Russian concentration camps and Berlin was to be defended by old men and twelve year old kids. Nice war strategy there pal.
And all because the stupid man didn't play chess. |
Also, he was 'drunk' on ideology and power. When I play computer chess I have a decent success rate. I win as often as I lose...until I start drinking then I start losing more often. Some of my moves border on the absurd. Hitler was 'drunk' all the time, therefore his moves were erratic. Add to that the fact that he was drug addict. His doctor had him pilled up on so many drugs he was a walking pharmacy. |

Oh he had very smart people working for him that DID play chess. The reason he was a complete idiot was because he didn't listen to them, or anyone else for that matter. |
