By party, I meant having a good time in general and honestly I quite enjoyed working for free!

I'm not trying to give you a hard time here but I can definitely see how working for free would be great (especially if you like what you're doing) when you don't have to worry about money.

I know, after your parents paid for your flight home after you bailed, allowing you to live in their house while you where home (or maybe I'm getting you mixed up with someone else on this point), and giving you a bunch of money too (or so I assume since you were asking how much everyone else's parents give them).

After my parents paid for me to be able to leave korea, I went home for a few months and then went to china.

I was in china for a few years - funnily enough I was fired from my second uni in china just before my contact ended.

I was at home and having a great time in the uk and got a job in Tokyo.

I visited china while my coe stuff / visa was processing for japan- that's when I was robbed, stranded, beaten up etc

I lost my best friend because after i staggered back to his apartment after being beaten up, I considered jumping off his roof (I had been in china just a few days and all that had happened).

I think he assumed I was doing so because I had no money or needed a job- not the case-but anyway the next day he said there was no evidence, refused to meet me, gave me false information about the police and then got his staff to demand money for my luggage being sent there.

That short time in china cost around five thousand pounds and I then still had to go to japan from the uk after all of it. The flight back to the uk as I recall was about two thousand pounds because shortly after the disaster I thought a holiday in Sanya would do the trick and it was expensive to get a flight from there to the UK.
