It's not just the Chinese either. Plenty of billionaire Iranians, Russians and Ukrainians, etc.
Canada is the place to go for crime bosses and their money.
Corruption is rife with immigration. Much of this money comes from Crime and Foreign Governmenr Policy to take land and resources.
Canadians have already lost; their government, played. |

You make an interesting point, here.
Apparently, the British Columbia government, for example, is not asking any questions regarding how large sums - very large sums - of money are being transferred from places like Russia and China into Canadian banks.
The real estate business there also turns a blind eye because they are making a killing on the over-priced market.
The Canadian Government shut down the "buy a passport" program but I read recently that it will be once again in full swing, maybe in 2015. |

Not really racist. A misuse of that term. But actually Chinese sociologist have noted that many overseas Chinese have traditionally not assimilated in to Western cultures. Has to do with history but also what part of Chana the immigrants came from. |

Chinese americans have assimilated into american culture about as well as any other ethnic group here. I'd say they've assimilated a lot more here than when migrating to other parts of Asia. One example is Indonesia, where you clearly know if a family is Chinese, even if they migrated generations ago and have little to no ties to China any more. |

SF has a Chinese-American mayor so I don't think you can say the Chinese there are politically marginalized.
BTW I agreed with the UCLA chick's points about the noise in the library and also about bringing your entire extended family to your apartment complex (full of other university students) and taking over the pool area with your barbeque. |
