No need to apologize, I took no offense at all.

I am saying that Steelrails is only good for comic relief. He should not be taken seriously.

Por Que?
What on earth are you babbling on about? My fluency in 'dopey' is not up to speed these days, could you translate your babble please? |

He's OK - he has improved of late.
I thought you were calling me a 'court jester' so may I take this post to make a public apology, perdon senor. |

So, do you have anything to actually offer on this topic besides personal insults? Where is your detailed analysis of diplomatic statements by Japan? As far as I can tell, you have contributed absolutely nothing that anyone would take seriously. Before you call someone a jester, at least make sure you've contributed something of educated substance.
Anyways, if I am Feste, then that makes you Malvolio at best, or a groundling in the audience at worst. |

Wow great analogies genius.
Okay, you want my opinion on this topic? I will give it to you.
Japan has done everything right from a legal standpoint since being kicked out of Korea. They have apologized and paid reparations. However, they have been sort of assholes about it. Like 'We're sorry......but you had it coming!!'
Korea should be looking to their gov't for reparation money to the individuals. I believe the comfort women issue happened but not all of Korea's side is correct. Most of the women were held against their will but some were hired prostitutes that took the job willingly. Whether the 'terms' of that job were violated, I don't know (sound familiar?)
The issue here is not whether they have 'sincere enough'. That is completely subjective. The issues are, whether Japan has apologized (they have) and whether they have paid reparation (they have). Case closed.
SR, no need to repost what you have already posted. I read it already and disagree with it.

Again, "Regret" "Remorse" and other things are not some sort of subjective terminology. They have very specific diplomatic and legal meanings. A layman might say pleading "No Contest" or an Alford Plea is the same thing as "Guilty" because it basically amounts to the same thing. This is not the case. They have very specific, differentiated meanings. Same with Japan's various "apologies" and the language used around them.
Just because YOU don't have the patience to read through them and analyze the language does not mean that there isn't a difference.

Exactly. You yourself see it. Imagine if that logic was used by Postwar Germany in regards to the Holocaust. Would we tell Jewish people to "move on" and that Germany had apologized and done enough? (And meanwhile Merkel is going to shrines that pay homage to Rudolf Hess and Reinhard Heydrich) Wouldn't Jewish people in Europe be rightly concerned about the behavior of the German government? Wouldn't they at least have some justification in educating their children to be cautious of the German state? Would it be right for Chinese, Indians, and Japanese to be like "Why haven't you people moved on? Why are you still educating your children to hate the Germans?" |

Now you are reposting the same tripe. I said I have already read it. Reading comprehension lessons anyone?
Next you accuse me of being lazy because I dont agree with you. Good try but everyone can see through it.
Now on top of being a pilot, battleship captain, chemist, now you are a lawyer!! And a bigot that likes to spout off racial slurs. You fit in well in Kimberlyland.
