I'd go with Emule if I could. I used it for ages. The GUI is very nice but with a Cable modem from Thrunet now it won't connect with a High ID except on the Korea Only server which still makes for really slow downloads. I've decided there's nothing I can do about this. Am I wrong?

i dunno mate.. hook up to winmx instead, do yourself a favor Razz

really, i think it is best, and if i can convince others of this, they will be better off for it... so will i cuz there will more files shared.. Razz

i tend to get my knickers in a knot when somebody says something is the best and they can't really explain why..

Well, if this is true, that the free things are a good payment, then surely you can understand others zealousness with their "payments" courtesy of other P2P networks?

wylde, I have gotten everything I have wanted from Overnet. Everything. Not a movie, game or file has slipped away from me because of using Overnet. I am an avid gamer, and have gotten every new title in the last year....all the new movies and many, many old ones. If WinMX has more files I don't want, then of what use is it?

I don't go to the store for milk if I have a fridge full of it.

I am not arguing against WinMX, just that I can see little reason to go to it with such success at hand, and I am sure this si where most people who currently use and are happy with their choice in P2P stand on this issue as well.

I told you I would try WinMX, and I will. However, I can't help but think that you are being somewhat silly about this whole thing.

You have expressed your opinion on numerous occasions, slammed non-WinMX users and generally fought tooth and nail for a piece of software....for what? To gain access to their files through the network of your choice?

If you want their files bad enough to go on this pseudo-crusade, then may I suggest YOU switching to a program that will let you access their files?

If WinMX is so good it will speak for itself. Your "convincing" is starting to work against you. Wink

as i said before.. it's all fun...

the only people that have been slammed are the people who say something is best without giving reasons..

silly or not.. i will keep on about winmx as i truely believe it is best...

i had battlestar galactica queued for 2 days on overnet.. so far i have received 618k...

i have had very little luck with overnet

Demophobe...

For Overnet, did you buy it, or do you use the basic, which comes installed with "software" and ads? Those were the only two choices I could really find. Of course, it's late, and I'm tired, and I only tried for 2 minutes... Smile

Also, I've got a question about Bittorrent. Kazaa Lite has always worked well for me, but lately, there are soooooooo many fake songs on there. I tried Bittorrent, and I wanted to hook up w/suprnova, but I could never find a...whatchamacallit to upload my files to. Everytime I tried, it said I had to use a specific program to convert it, and when I did, something else was wrong... I downloaded "MakeTorrent 2", "XBT", and a couple of other programs...Read the FAQ's...Is it supposed to be simple or is it usually like this at the beginning?

I know enough about most of this stuff to keep myself entertained, but I really got frustrated with Bittorrent yesterday..
