Last Monday, our school secretary scheduled me a new class starting at 1:00pm.

So, on Monday, I finish my first class at 12:30. Run out to buy some lunch and bring it back to the school.

Head up to my class at 12:57 or so. Student doesn't show up. Wait until about 1:15.

Go back down to the office to ask where my student is. Staff phone the student, who says that the school never called him to tell him when his new classes start!

I wasted 45 minutes of my day waiting around for someone who would not show up because of s hitty communication between staf and teachers.

Next example, today, the secretary tells me to go out to China Airlines to teach a corporate class. After I get to class, another teacher from our school knocks on my class door telling me that the same secretary has made a mistake and has double scheduled us for the same class!

We each paid NT$400 to get to the airport and back and it was a 3 hour class.

Who compensates the other teacher for this f*up?

- No one, that's who.

It's frustrating but seems to be part of the game.
