The next project is to edit the 90 minutes of video from my vacation down to about 40-45 minutes and then add 100 or so pictures as a slide show and burn the whole project as a DVD with 2-3 chapters...

In the future, if you plan to burn all of the video without editing it, and use Premiere, I have found that the raw files I digitize will import and burn perfectly in Nero. No editing needed.

I'll remember that, but I usually need to cut out bad footage and I like to add in a few transitions and text or voice overs here and there.

I tried premiere pro 1.5 and it is incredibly difficult to figure out. I'm using pinnacle Studio and that program is great. The interface is easy to use and it is very intuitive. Basically for the home enthusiast I don't see you needing any more. Premier would be more for someone on the professional end or making serious independant films. Just my opinion.

I finally got my DVD burner. I ended up getting an LG Super Multi DVD Writer GSA-4163B (dual-layer) at space nine for only 70,000 won. I also picked up a stack of 10 DVD -R for 5,000 won (single layer discs).

5th floor space nine one one of the walls. If you walk around there you'll find prices for that player ranging from 70-85,000...

Sorry I don't have the store name and can't find the reciept right now.

Hope that helps.
