I went to Vancouver last weekend and came back home yesterday.

I visited Gas Town to do some shopping and saw this. Thought it was hilarious.

1. Everything seems .

7. White girls are hot! And horny! I love 'em too, but Korean women just ain't the be-all-end-all. Four letters : R-A-C-K. True, there are some that could use some work, but man, and they speak English! Or French, on occasion. And they're sexually liberated! Thanks, Gloria Steinem!

9. Beer tastes good! Guinness, Beck's, Heineken, Tennent's, Granville Island, Okanagan Spring. Had em all this week. Sure, you can get imports in Korea but here they just cost a little bit more, in Korea they're double or triple price. Hey, Korea, get your breweries in shape or ship out. OB, Cass, Hite, utter swill.

18. Marijuana is ok! It's all the rage these days. Had some with my buddy's Mom the other day. And it leads to brutal gang wars that have killed over 80 people in Vancouver in the past decade! Hmm.....

How very interesting. You're a true vulgarian, aren't you?

kiwiboy, I'm still a fan of the good Corporal, but W Shakespeare's character _Malvolio_ popped to mind when I read this post.

Beer, weed and boobs. Yeah, I'm the only one in the world that likes those. Malvolio? Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment, just as long as I don't end up getting skewered for a friend.

Wow. I never knew so much about Davie St. It's different now. Still not exactly classy, but no longer a "drive-in brothel." I was only ten in 1984 when it was made. Interesting...

I haven't been to Vancouver (aside from the airport) for many years--hopefully visiting next summer.

That "YOU butted in line!!" bit was funny.

Do Koreans ever even say such a thing? (and would they bother trying to speak to or deal with a foreigner in such a case?)

Just returned after being home in Toronto for 2 weeks...

The women back home are spectacular. It always boggles my mind when i return. It seemed everytime i turned around there was a super-model looking chick strutting past often flashing a smile or even *gasp* saying good morning/good evening to me. Coming back to Seoul was like moving from the adult table back to the childrens table for Thanksgiving dinner.

It was sooooo great being high again. Its amazing to feel the months of stress melt away mere minutes after smoking...being high with real friends who know me and care about me is beyond words. My cheeks hurt from smiling for 2 weeks straight.

Watching the World Juniors with said friends being said high was superb especially when it was Belarus wiping the floor with team USA.

No reverse culture shock, no weirdness, just a feeling like I finally exhaled and was back in a world where i belonged...

what the *beep* am i doing back here in korea???? Confused

That was great to read Smile Maybe I WILL stay another year... cant be that bad can it? Really the staring is the only think I dont like a lot.

Im so glad to hear that us of 'white' heritage are beautiful as well! thought for a minute that a lot of men prefered these little tiny, non-breasted women Rolling Eyes hooray! (although the Koreans DO have GREAT skin! and cute clothes.. if they dont border on the ridiculous like wearing heels hiking)

Well, thoughts from the West Coast. I've been in Korea for 3 years and nine months, but haven't been home since August, 2003. This time I really didn't even think about home at all for about 16 months, so it is truly surreal being here. etc etc etc
