monday of last week my boss says - "end-of-year dinner tomorrow night" (tuesday)...

i said - "sorry i can't come, i have an engagement already" i also said i did not mind missing it.

but they changed the date just for me. changed it to teusday of this week. i said ok that suits me.

but then they changed it again - to new years eve (friday of this week)... i said good, and i went ahead and made a date for tuesday (last night)

but then on friday last week the boss suddenly changed it to tuesday of this week. i told her i could not come.

yesterday she was at me again to come. i told her no i could not - i had a date, and i don't like going out in the week (my school is open until 10pm so the dinner would not start til 10.30 or so... and i start work at 7.30am....

well dinner went ahead without me last night and today the boss was treating me like a war criminal because i did not come.... a felt like clocking her! she went on and on about it all bloody day!!!

aiiigo!!!

That's why I don't enjoy dinner with my boss. It is work. Actual work takes up enough of my time. I don't want more of my free time taken up. If it was optional to attend it would be more fun, but this expectation to attend ruins the fun. Older or higher ranking people in Korea are always shocked when someone actually says no to any of their whims.
