Come to think of it, I would prefer drinking with Muslims. Then you would never have to worry about them taking the last beer at a house party.

Corporal has always struck me (but never forcefully) as a woman with a tremendous attitude...

We love you..., Sir,...(as long as you are Catholic)...

If you dont mind the etire province shutting down on Sunday, barely being able to earn enough money to keep food on the table, and a grey drizzly winter that lasts from October 1st through April 30th, then it's a lovely place to live.

Irish and English have to be the best to get shizz-faced with. THey know how to have fun.

AUssies and Kiwis seem ok for a quiet house party, but haven't met any gut-busters from there.

Canadians in Canada were fun. Here, no good. Especially now that there's no NHL. What the heck are we supposed to talk about?Canadians in Korea are complete, egotistical, self-glorifying wankers.(I'm allowed, I'm Cdn)

No votes for G.I's?? I like drinking with them cuz they make me feel much more intelligent than I actually am.

Regular Americans have been pretty cool.

I love how when I'm drinking with my pals (I'm usually the only American in the bunch) they usually decide to compliment me by saying "wow, you know...you really don't act American!"

I was quite offended when I saw you'd seperated each nationality, but for the English and the Welsh, who you've grouped together for what reason?

Ah, because you haven't seen so many of them here in Korea? Then of course, they must be grouped together in any irrelevant survey.

But then I read that you wrote this as well:

There are only two halves?! You're a Scot?!

What ignorance!

Pound for pound, the German students that were in Pusan around summer of '99-to the fall of '01 were probably the most fun-loving, party-mad, easy-going drinkers I've ever been around. Never started fights (often injured themselves accidentally), never argued politics, weren't stingy about booze. They're sorely missed.

Every nationality has its 'lager louts' but IMO the worst tend to be U.S. GIs, followed in rapid succession by Ozzies (a fair share of mean drunks), Brits, and more than a few Canadian newbies.

I don't mind that the department stores and grocery stores close on Sunday. Personally I don't do anything special on Sunday anyway...spend time with my family, go to a movie....go to a park. I do my shopping on Saturday....considering that most people in Nova Scotia don't work much more than an 8 hour shift....there is plenty of time to get everything done. I agree that it is hard to make a good living in Nova Scotia......if you only have a bachelor's degree....it doesn't get you much in Nova Scotia....you need more than that to get yourself a good job. Yes....the winter is long....but I love the cold..Very Happy....my friends claim it's because of that wee bit of scottish blood i have running through my veins..Very Happy. The best people to drink with.....hmm....well as Canadians go I would have to say Newfoundlanders know how to have a good time..Very Happy....I haven't drank with and Scottish people yet...but I have an aunt who went to Scotland I guess to find our "roots"....she loved the hagus..? loved the people.....maybe someday i'll venture there myself...Very Happy

First off, one of my most favoured experiences here in Korea is sitting at a pub talking to people from all around the world. Be it about politics (yes I'm Canadian, if the 'u' in favoUred didn't tip you off), sports, music, whatever.

As for my best drinking buddies? I love the Irish because they make me laugh like mad and Aussies can be fun too. The English are good but it always seems to turn to why they hate the Irish. I've met some truly exemplary Americans but I've also met some meat-headed, nationalistically egotistical stereotypes. All in all, however, my trip has done nothing but increase my love of people in general! (Except the bastad who stole my camera at the Limelight).

Wait...I think I just like drinking! heheh

Cheers

We could settle this once and for all....one representative from each country...150 000 won each...someone bring a video camera...stream it online and hey presto!...the answer to this troublesome question!
