Last night was the most splendid bit of anarchy I've participated in in years. Wild, crazy, joyous, bachanalian (where's a thesaurus when you need one) and just plain fun. When people thanked me for organizing it, I told them to look around, "Anything around here look organized to you?"

Rand al is right - this one was much better than the first. Just what I expected and hoped for from you people ... very nice that people are already talking about the next one.

Set the record straight, I said from the beginning I'm too lazy to do more than instigate, and that's all I ever did - the work all came from gajackson and reedt and that nasty puppy gang ah gee. (You ARE a cad, sir, and a bounder!)

Wanna apologize to Hyalucent/Ian for constantly forgetting his name - embarassed myself Embarassed and no doubt bored him silly by asking it about every half hour. What the hey, I remember it now.

Beckerson, yer a fine and decent fella also, and you clarified a few things in my mind about buying a 'puter as well.

Just learned that Eamo/Eamon is finishing his contract and leaving the country in a scant ten days or so, and it's ticking me off because I haven't found such a sympathetic drinking partner in a while. The Bobster requests the Eamonster to pencil him in for whickey and tequila next weekend ... check yer pm box, fella.

So happy that the g.o.d broke down and showed up.

The G-Spot was a kick and a half. Korean bars like to have a theme, and this one is sex - who could resist that. I told someone the place seemed like halfway to Bangkok, like Nana Plaza but the customers get to dance too - but hey, I wouldn't know about that, never been there, just heard about it, ya know ... Cool

ody and jaderedux and Blue Flower, waterbaby and crazylemongirl, too, and that fine woman the iguanabe ... when MORANS come on the board and talk trash about how Western women are not attractive and not charming or something - aaargh, I'll tell them they need to come to one of our parties and they should shut up until they do.

Maybe I missed it, but both Lemon and rudyflyer didn't show up in the pictures - yeah, I know Lemon was taking some of them but I'm sure also it's a security precaution against anti-mod terror attacks. You guys were fun last night and Beckerson's right, rudy is a long tall drink of water, bet his feet stick out over the edge of the bed at night ...

Yes, and thanks Lemon & gajackson for snapping the pics and posting them. My lady's name is Kye-hyun, spent a year in Australia studying English and never got around to taking an English name and I like that. We're having an argument over the teddy-bear allegation : I say it's her and she's says it's me ...

Oh, aqnd hyalucent, remember we all swore a pact not to reveal details about that last place we went - it's just the kind of place LonelyPlanet backpacking-types would wanna know about, and it would not be improved by having a lot of them kicking back in there. Mum's the word, right?

Wink

Yep Zyzyfer,
You got the spelling right. Lets see you get it right on your Blog now!! I'm up for any tom-foolery next friday but it's not goodbye Eamo, but merely, 'au revoir'. I'll be back for another year of pretending to teach in july/august.

Bobster,
Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy drinking with anyone who is as good a listener as they are a talker.

I think everyone agrees meetings such as last night make the board a more fluffy, friendly place. Looking forward to next time.

Hah! What were you *expecting* us to look like? Actually, I know what you mean.

The evening flew by - gregarious bunch, considering most people had never met each other. Everyone was very approachable. Last night Stopwatch probably had the largest concentration of Westerners all in one room, not counting GI haunts.

Mrs. Lemon was commenting today that she really wants to attend the next one. Idea Maybe I'll stay home and she can walk around the room introducing herself: "Hi, I'm Anda..."

Lemon.

Ps - couple more pictures... first one is of Glen's address to the crowd ; second one features the elusive rudyflyer in the middle (first moderator ever photographed, I think):

I think time has come for a little chat link to be added since most of major leaguers know who's who and spend already a lot of time reading and posting. Surprised

And maybe make this gathering a fixed affair? like once a month? or every another weekend?

Just a thought.

I will be there next time
though my english sux big time.

Hey is it...
oh forget it.

Hey, looks/sounds like y'all had a fine time. It would've been great to come along, but it just wasn't to be.

Unfortunately, I won't make it to any future soirees as I'm outta the country pretty darn tout-suite. I'll try to keep on with the board though. Feels like I know alot of you, in a weird sorta internet way. At least there's pictures...keep em comin!

Silence is golden ! Cool

All I will say is that even my girlfriend had no idea that place existed-- and she hangs out in Hongdae all the time. You guys got a BIG compliment for introducing us to that place Very Happy

... and I'm really sorry to see Eamo go, even if it's just for a couple months. I can't believe that I've been in this location for over a year and had no idea someone so cool was only 100 metres away. Keep me posted on a going away party so as I can say a toast to his safe travels and happy returns.

I really wanted to go to this one...however, I spent most of Friday night and Saturday morning handcuffed inside of a police station trying to weasle my way out of a stickey perdicament. Which I did. (The "cops" here were a tad bit discriminatory towards my numerous tattoos, which made my attempts more difficult) after we left the popo den we headed straight to a bar and stayed there until 9 am....
would have loved to have met Blue Flower though...
