And the queen isn't as bad as a bunch of slave owning white guys.

But the Queen has no role in Canadian law? The Governor General is an anachronistic symbol of British empirialism (which produced the slave owning white guys that you refer to). Don't you think it's interesting how they keep putting minorities in this position? It's almost as if someone is trying to make monarchy a bit more politically correct in oder to make it more palatable to many Canadians who would otherwise demand that changes be made.

Still, small potatoes when you consider that all Canadians are required by law to do an act of mutiny by pledging their allegiance to the British royal family in order to become lawyers, public servants, and soldiers. I was asked to do it twice, once when working for the federal gov. and the other when entering the armed forces (my fingers were crossed behind my back on both occasions). As a proud Canadian, it was a grave insult to be forced to pledge my life to protect the lives of a few Brits who aren't even Canadian residents instead of fellow Canadian citizens and residents.

On a lighter not, it's rather funny how she's refered as being quite young in the article. Since when is 48 quite young? Quite young used to be 18 to 25. I guess baby boomers have become the hypocrites that they accused their parents of being.

The three greatest sports in the world are football(soccer) Australian Football & cricket.
None are taken seriously in Canada, so you're crap.

Not taking those "sports" seriously adds to my respect for Canada. Hockey is better than those three put together. Soccer could benefit greatly by adopting some of hockey's rules. Allow play behind the net. Get rid of a ton of controversy (and defenders holding up their hands begging for a call every time they get beat) by implementing a blue line. No more penalty kicks unless the guy is clearly fouled on a breakaway. No more flopping the second you enter that enormous area in an attempt at another boring penalty kick.

The other thing I like about Canada is that it's so close to the US. Nice neighborhood.

Lots of people like to think of canada as a multi cultural paradise but that is a load of bull. there are lots of problems with racism in canada. Maybe not as bad in some countries, but like i said its not the multicultural paradise people think it is.
so you think the best thing to do is get rid of any sort of multicultural funding?
Not to pass judgement...just curious.

Yes. End all funding that plays into the flunkies cultural-Marxism. Multicult is a really dangerous idea. You cannot expect a country to function with any degree of social harmony when the government explicitly directs all the various groups into their own "community centers" (where they don't have to interact with the horrible white men) and naively believes that "communication" between "community leaders" will stop the blood from flowing in the streets (check out precious T.O. as of late).

This woman, the one the OP was talking about, was a Quebec separatist. There are some questions surrounding how she voted during their last referendum. Not that I care, of course, because my home province of Alberta will soon be free of smelly Easterners and their absurd ideas.

I hate patchouli almost as much as I dislike preachy Canadians and their arrogant superiority complex.

And to the OP, you economically illiterate clown, health care isn't free. It isn't free to me, and it isn't free to you. We pay for it, via a wide variety of taxes.

i.e. but not necessarily in this order.

The OP sounds like a fourth grader bragging about his dad being stronger than the other dads. Rolling Eyes
