Like many a haggies I am expected to make the appearance of teaching. Sort of like eating a bowl of ceral without the milk. You go away full it just didn't taste quite right. When the two kids told me they wanted to go watch the match I was all for it. In fact I wanted to see if I could bail out on classes to go watch as well.

However, I remembered my annual monthly arse chewing regarding more work, less games in class. I really didn't give a rusty poop if the kids wanted to go, and in fact I was all for them actually having some fun on a summer vacation day. I mean lets get real sit in my boring arse class regurgitating random words out of a book, or watch a soccer match? Last month I might have b$tched at them, but then my classes were interesting. We did half work, half game, and seemed to have fun doing it.

So I sent the two boys to the Won Jon and of course she not wanting to loose precious client won gives them the go ahead. I got a good chuckle, and the boys got their soccer match.

How about refusing to release a teacher from a contract after telling them what a bad and irresponsible teacher they are because they are concerned about the reputation of the school?

Yeah, let's keep this 'awful' teacher here because we're concerned about what the parents might think if he leaves. That was a threat from my boss from 20 minutes ago when I announced my resignation. I shot right back that I could make the school look just as a bad for any future teachers. I don't understand what difference it makes whether he releases me to find another job in Korea or whether I just head to another country. Any damaging reputation to the school will have been made. That's right, hagwon stupidity.
