oh, and you don't HAVE to burn any thing. Just use daemon tools to emulate a drive (very easy). Load your .iso or .cue into that and boom you have the program. Very easy and effective.

nah mate, with daemon you skip the entire disc part. Basically you trick the computer into beleiving that you have an extra DVD drive. You "load" that extra drive with .iso or .cue files and it plays like you had the original DVD- sometimes you don't even need a crack (black & white 2 for example). Look under the drives category as to the actual type of drives you have. Its been a long time since I looked at that...

Oh and if youdecide to go legit, DVD burners are like 40.000 in yongsan.

The VideoLAN media player http://www.videolan.org/ should be able to play the iso/cue files (and anything else you care to throw at it). Try it instead of daemon.

Nope. You just play them from your hard drive.

not really a dummies guide,

Just install as a normal program. Turn on by dbl clicking. Now at the bottom ofd the screen you have a red lightning bolt. Right click. Select Virtual Cd/DVD rom. Then choose the drive it created. Select mount image. choose your .iso or .cue and watch as it loads up

thanks for all your help demonicat

i have : DVD-ROM/CD-RW

I presume that means I have no burner ?

As for using daemon - I understand that converts files and lets me put them on CD.... but surely I need a burner to get them onto a DVD ? or am i still missing something ?

hehe, you got hit the same way I did a year ago- you have a CD burner, but not a DVD burner. No way around it, you can't burn DVDs. Daemon tools allow you to play games with a make believe DVD. There is no physical disc, but you trick the computer into believing that the file is a disc in a DVD drive. Without buying a DVD burner, its as good as your going to get.
