I really can see no objection to someone taking food in that situation. Its called survival. I think most people tend to worry about the people wandering off with plasma screen televisions.
Its one thing taking what you need to ensure your survival, and quite the other taking what you want to realize a profit.
Still most of the situation has died down with the National Guard in the streets to keep a lid on things. |

You didn't read the thing correctly. The articles are from different press agencies (ie. they will have different views). Have a look at the picture again. Please tell me you don't teach reading comprehension. |

The best way to deal with trolls is not to take the bait. Fooled us once, shame on him, fooled us twice, shame on us.
Trolling socks are best left talking to themselves. Since this guy has at least a couple of socks, and they do talk with each other (post on the same threads), lets leave them to a private conversation. |

finally someone gets past initial viceral reactions at perceived racism.
the two photographers have been interviewed as of now, and the one who said "looting" actually SAW the guys loot, whereas the one that said find saw the guy and girl pick up stuff found floating on the water.
So many people seem to really enjoy being 'shocked and appalled' and feel as it is their right to never feel offended over what someone may say...victims, victims, victims.... |

In respects to the Bush administratons reaction to New Orleans; I feel that votes and economics played a greater role than race in regards to their $hitty response.
Just look at last hurricane season (election year  ) in Florida ( ) where FEMA and the Bush Adminstration were preparing and showing plenty of camera time before and after the hurricane.
FEMA and the Bush administration were given stellar marks by the media and public for their actons.
Bush (actually Rove) realized how important Florida was to his re-election.
The preperaton for Katrina simply was not on par with Florda. Now NO's mayor f*ked up and so did the Governor; however the Bush Administraton also failed to act with the same vigor as they did in Florida a year earlier.
Bush (well his polcy makers anyways) doesn't hate black people; but they certainly don't care much for the poor and people who's votes don't matter. |
