That deserves a semi-ban and you know it. Particularly for the vegetable ones. |

I was gonna post similarly, but didn't want to disrupt the feel good nature of the list. |

Didn't want to? I've been trying but it hasn't worked. So I give up.
60) relative absence of violent crime
And if that's already been mentioned, then:
60) Guards posted around the Blue House who know me so well by now that they smile and salute me when I glide by on the motorbike |

I've never seen that one. That does sound good. In fact, I make a cold pasta dish with those ingredients. Would simplify the process. Will ahve to find some and give it a try. |

My friend told me that back in the day (early 90's) the residents in HyojaDong didn't really have to lock their doors at night, being that there were plain-clothes agents on every block and they pretty much knew everybody's business.
I guess that area is now converted into a parking lot or a commercial district or something. |
It's seen some piecemeal redevelopment like anywhere else has, individual houses have been "villa-fied" here & there, but no wholesale conversion into anything new. Still more cops than robbers, (though that's sometimes a distinction w/o a difference. ) but it's been open to pedestrian and private road traffic for over a decade. You rarely have coppers ID-ing you on your way home anymore. |

sixty-four. When I'M sixty-four, I can tell my grandchildren about the time I hung out on the roof eating persimonns and sam gyeop sal while deftly deflecting attempts to be used as a free English lesson. But will they still need me? Will they still feed me? |

Bit of an aside, but I'm curious. Has anyone tasted 'bulgogi flavored tuna'? I saw it the other day and wondered what it was like.
