I'll be getting a new computer in 2 weeks, as opposed to gutting mine in England and getting it shifted over.

I have between 700-800k won.

The things I want,

3gig chip
1gig ram
decent enough gfx card (enough to play Fear/B&W2 etc.)

Things I'm not fussed with
uber HD space, i back things up easy on my dvd burner laptop
uber monitor
uber sound (i'll be getting cheapo speakers so no more than onboard sound req.)

What will that set me back? I've looked on Dananwa but dont really understand it at all.

I don't know but I can tell you that FEAR runs great on a Radeon 9200, which is well behind the times. Sure I turned the graphics down but it didn't affect the experience at all. But on a modern system it looks great.
