Ladies and Gentlemen, the thrid President of the United States of America, Mr. Thomas Jefferson;

"Christianity neither is, nor ever was, a part of the common law."

"Say nothing of my religion. It is known to my god and myself alone."

"I am of a sect by myself, as far as I know."

"Ignorance is preferable to error; and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing, than he who believes what is wrong."

"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."

"Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one-half the world fools and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth."

"I am for freedom of religion, & against all maneuvres to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another."

"I never will, by any word or act, bow to the shrine of intolerance, or admit a right of inquiry into the religious opinions of others."

"The impious presumption of legislators and and rulers, civil as well as ecclesiastical, who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world and through all time: That to compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical..."

"The clergy, by getting themselves established by law and ingrafted into the machine of government, have been a very formidable engine against the civil and religious rights of man."

One of my all time favorites. I have said it so many times around my mom, she finishes the sentence.

"I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of humankind has preserved-- the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!"

The obsessive-compulsive character (Jack, what's his name?) in "As Good as it gets" says a few good ones that cracked me up.

He's a writer and a female fan asks him, "How do you write women so well?"

He says, "I think of a man. Then I take away reason and accountability."

And to the Jews sitting at his table in the restaurant, "I guess your appetites are not as big as your noses."

To the woman asking him to look after his neighbor's dog: "Go sell crazy somewhere else. We're all stocked up here."

This is the oddest post I've seen as of late, it's from another forum, the tread was started by a fanatical-Christian-Nazi type: "Adolf Himmler":
Colinsign wrote:
Adolf Himmler wrote:
Race exist because

1. We can see it in the face of beings.

2. It has a genetic basis

3. It is hereditary

4. Only members of the same race can propagate the continuation of the race

5. Why mix with a white? don't you want to be asian? why mix with asian? don't you want to be black?

6. Race is not a social construct because even three yr olds can recognise the race. therefore, the capacity for racial recognition is in built and not learnt

7. at birth, the only aspect of your child you can definately control is the racial aspect

8. we are different from our parents in all respect but are united in race

9. interracial bonding is a sexual deviation because it does not procreate the existing race

Isn't racial makeup at heart a feminist ideology?

I smell an Ayran Rat. Racial Mixing makes complete sense, you fem-dyke liberal, mixing gives an evolutionary trajectory, over time, it whittles down the 'poor genes' until humanity has been reduced to two perfect beings...Adam and Eve...respectively...whose hue of skin colour will, when the time finally arrives, be best described as 'opulent' or 'like a light bulb inside of an ice cube in the dark' or 'racy'
