| I am to be stuffed, and then routinely shuffled to various "hiding" spots where my discovery will bring shock and confusion to the Discoverer. |

There is, apparently, some German cat (could be some other nationality - I don't rightly remember) who has developed a system dubbed 'Plastination'.
You can be preserved for all eternity. More interestingly, you can be preserved minus your skin. Now, wouldn't that be sweet.
My pal in Toronto tells me that he had an exhibition at the Ontario Science Centre - about which he was quite upset as he considers himself an 'aritist', not an 'embalmer - wherein he had a rider posed on a horse. Both of them were skinless and plastinated. I gotta see that.
My wife insists that I pay hommage to her in such a way should she die first and she wants nothing less than to be placed in the bedroom. This I cannot do.
As for me, I want to be cremated and then smoked by my pals back home. Smoke me with tobacco, preferably. I just think that my ashes should be as tenuous as those of what will probably kill me. |

I'd ask the Missus but she's... ah... well, you just might get in "contact" with her someday if you go traipsing around Solak-san.
If you get up that way, stop, pause, slow down, close your eyes... Just might be her helping make the world seem a little better.

That stuff is awesome. Saw an exhibit on it a few years back. Only really creepy bit is that the eyes are preserved as well.
I'll probably be cremated, but haven't thought that far ahead yet. The idea of having my body cut all open doesn't appeal to me, no matter how noble being an organ donor is. |

Very difficult to say anything to that, but...more power to you, man. Classic! |

David Cross said it best:
"people go: 'would you rather be cremated, or buried?'... I don't give a s*it. Do whatever you want, I'm dead. I don't care, because I CAN'T. I mean, at least get some use out of my body -- give it to a bunch of necrophiliacs or something. Yeah, let 'em have a big ole' circle jerk over me, I don't give a s*it, I'm not going to take it personally; I'm not going to be offended. Sit there and have a big ole' party. Fu*k me in the ass, fu*k me in the mouth, fu*k me in the eyehole, the earhole, make a new hole, fu*k me there, I ... don't care." |
