Interesting turn of events for me...my supervisor (who previously gave me a speech to proofread) just handed me a stack of papers to proofread today adding that since it was for him that he would pay me 20,000 won an hour for my work. I won't make much money off the project but it's nice to be shown a little respect now and then.

HA! So much for respect...first thing this morning, my supervisor asks me for the papers. Since he gave them to me last thing yesterday and gave me no deadline I told him I hadn't started them yet. He then told me that he had a meeting and needed them now. He tried to tell me that he told me yesterday that he wanted them today but what he actually said was, "I hope you can finish them tomorrow." He's a realy nice guy so I feel bad for him (he's already left for his meeting without his documents, which are now finished and waiting for him on his desk) but I take no responsibility for his failure to communicate a definite deadline. Lack of communication is a huge problem at my school (and I suspect in this country) and I'm really tired of people accusing me of not doing something when I wasn't told about it in the first place.
