Thank you, thank you, thank you for not accusing me of being an "culturally insensitive loser" dude. Nice to see someone not taking themselves too seriously.
BMLS, you're right...consider this thread jacked. |

Did you ever see the episode where Cartman joined the Special Olympics because he thought it was a sure thing?

F'n hilarious, dude. When he was doing the motion-capture study of handicapped movement, etc. When they showed him watching the Kid Rock video is when I lost it.

Are you guys done your pissing contest yet?
I wonder if it's possible to post ANYTHING this forum without getting hostile and irrelevant responses?
It seems there are a lot of unhappy foreigners. Maybe it time for a lot of them to move on. |

Try not to take too much offence, but probably everyone on this board is a novelist or a screenwriter or a poet. |

Agreed.
This board is now famous for its almost unconditional negativity - and I'm not just talking about "anti-Korea" negativity.
Actually, Shawner88 had quite a hostile reaction regarding the publication of his book "Island of Fantasy". I don't like the pattern I'm seeing here. |

Yes, but you may want to brush up on those writing skills before you submit your first screenplay.

A saying in Los Angeles goes like this: what's the fastest way to tell someone's a schmuck? He says "I'm a screenwriter." |
Key words in bold. there's little to no potential cred, as far as I can see, in claiming to be a screenwriter in SK or on an ESL message board. It's schmucky in LA because of the hundreds of thousands of peeps who migrate there annually for that purpose, 99.9 percent of whom are doomed to fail. But here, or pretty much anywhere else besides LA, it's just as legit as any other interest, hobby, or avocation.
To the OP--I'll be in Seoul within the next month, and I've got a couple of projects I'm working on. So yeah, I'd be interested in throwing around a couple of ideas.
Keep it up, and props for putting yourself out there. |
