It would be racist if they barred the usage of the foreign languages.
LA has made a bid for the 2016 olympics, claiming them to be a city where over 300 languages are spoken. They sounded proud, not complaining.
The official reason is to establish in writing that English will be used in government and schools. If someone wants to be educated in another lnaguage, there are private schools, or home schooling for that. |
