Spinoza thinks the moon landings were faked.
That rules out ever hearing anything rational from him on a wide variety of subjects, including politics.
I can practically hear him right now "Oh you stupid pro-government twat, believing that the US actually went to the moon!"
paranoid yob.

For those of you who do like Bullsh!t and do like Penn's line of thinking, he's actually got a daily radio show where he and co-host Michael Goudeau, a fellow Vegas performer (he's a juggler), just talk for an hour about whatever the hell they want to talk about. You get a fuller sense of Penn's reasoned, rational thought process, as well as his self-deprecating sense of humour, than you do on Bullsh!t (though I wouldn't trade Bullsh!t for anything -- God damn, that episode on circumcision was amazing).

You can download the shows via bittorrent, from the website penn.free.fm (I think), and there's a podcast archive of every show as well (they've been going since January). That's five a week for six months, a lot of catching up to do, but it's great stuff. The show's called "The Penn Jillette Radio Show." Simple enough.

I never heard of the show, but promptly downloaded the first 3 series on Bittorrent (from torrentspy.com). I've got to say, I'm addicted. Sure, they're being one-sided and possibly pulling some editing tricks, but it's entertaining nonetheless.

They claim they don't take people out of context through sneaky editing.

So does Michael Moore.

The simple fact is, it's really easy to use television to portray basically anything. You can do this through editing chicanery, loaded questions, selectively choosing what makes the cut, ignoring things that detract from your point...

Not accusing them of doing this, mind you, but I'm aware that it's a possibility.

In their defense, so what? There are plenty of other shows on TV that present "both" sides of an issue, interview a few "experts" on the topic, and present a fair and balanced.... *yawn* Well, you get the idea.

I'm not actually looking for "fair and balanced". I'm more looking for a deluge of facts and proofs that keep nutbars like Fiveeagles and Rteacher up at night.

Did anyone hear the monkey tuesday that just passed on the Penn radio show? Penn was checking the monkey tuesday wiki and noticed someone (ah hem) figured out halloween would fall on a tuesday. So they're going to have a big halloween themed monkey tuesday in NYC. I was the one who made that entry into wiki!

He even made a reference to my joke about the pope and the calendar.

I have been listening to the radio show recently and really enjoying it while I work at home on the 'puter. I can't find an archive of old shows though. Is it just me or do they not keep them anywhere?
