When faced with a reality one finds undesirable, the best responce is to bury your head in the sand and pretend it isn't happening! The tidal wave of cultural change enveloping Korea is overwhelming, so it's natural to be a little unsettled, especially if you are a rabidly xenophobic anti semitic hate monger like patchy. But rest assured little patchy-boy, the change is inevitable and unstoppable. And if cultural imperialism means turning out people that are the exact opposite of you, ie intelligent, informed, sane, well balanced, then I say bring on the cultural imperialism!!! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Must be tough for you to see your dream of an isolationist, racist, xenophobic, communist Korea slipping away day by day. Must be even tougher to hate every nation on earth except Korea, and to desperately want to fit in, but to actually be rejected by your motherland as a tainted kyopo who will never every really fit in and be accepted into the fold. A man without a country, full of seething hate and ignorance. You can't even hang out with your racist hero's like David Duke, he's a white supremist and you're not white, so even scumiest scum of the earth reject you patchy! There is nowhere for you to fit in this world!

Rest assured, your kind are dying out though. Here's hoping you have a short, painful, meaningless, ineffectual, and unremarkable life ( highly likely ), and here's hoping you don't reproduce and pollute the gene pool. Here's to you patchy-boy!

I don't respond to that idiot anymore because he's so misinformed it's a waste of time, but good job putting him in his place.

Australians tend to express their terms of endearment in obscure fashion, dear boy. Sometimes it only looks like dung. Sometimes it smells like it. Sometimes, but rarely and only in the most dire of circumstances, it really is. Now you'll tell me you were raised just out beyond bloody Woi Woi, right?

Quinella, I still haven't pinned down your meaning yet. What in hell's name is so funny about my response that you didn't burst out laughing, hm?

Why joking? Koreans have only been allowed to leave korea and travel internationally since relatively recently. I think about 25 years now.
Surely a generation that travels all over the world gets more perspective than those who stay in the same place all their lives? no?

Yes, we all believe you, cubanlord.

Their authenticity is beyond question.

I mean how could I have missed these errors that show their authenticity? ..... I mean if you had written it yourself there wouldn't be these kind of errors below, would there?

The student can't spell "feel" (spells it "fell") although he can spell "disrespectful" perfectly well. And "technology".

Can't spell "xenophobic" ("Xenophic") at times but the writer has amazingly sophisticated sentence-constructing ability for his age and for someone who's not a native speaker:
"Foreigners have to understand Korean because Korean people is only doin this because they want to show their English talent or feel different and they are not used to foreigners."

And when did sixth graders start becoming interested in current affairs?
"... In one of the education center called yung-uh-maul (English Village), there was an incident that one of the teachers in that academy had touched the kinds in improper way. With this incident, KTU (Korean Teachers & Educational Worker's Union) is saying that this happened because of the foreigner teachers because they were drunk and did improer thing ....."
I myself thought they were still interested in computer games: KartRider, Maple Story and the like at that age ....

And here's another example of amazing insight (for a sixth grader):
" Another reason that Koreans are xenophobic is basically because of what government is planning .... "

Here's another one:
"... All they did was forcing us to believe the facts they give us, and feel it with just reacting it without thinking. ....."

Astonishing. Hmmmm ... I don't remember sixth graders being like that when I was in school. Or having English like that. And I grew up among native speakers. It must just be me. HAHAHAHA

< ... Ummm, BTW, when did you start getting your views from Korean parents, cubanlord? (LOL) >

Yes, not only that but she's quoted Hilter. That puts her in a category all by herself.

I'm beginning to think Patchy is nothing more then a burnt Kyopo that has nothing better to do then vent frustrations because she can't get a job teaching English due to her skin color.

While I personally disagree with how some companies treat them, it certainly isn't my fault, nor anyone else's on this board.

Maybe it's time to turn your energies elsewhere and stop harassing other people to make yourself feel good.

What questions? Making false accusations - hmm, I thought a TeachingGod had more class than that ....

And why would you be so miffed about what I think? You have all these people in this thread believing you that your sixth grade students wrote those essays all by themselves, don't you?

So many suckers - er - followers .......

Why do any of you even bother responding to Patchy? Ignore him and he will go away.

Unfortunately not. Patchy is an irrelevant and inconsequential human being. He is on here to get a rise out of people, and the best thing to do is ignore him.

Now you did it BV. We haven't addressed this yet: are all Muslims evil? What say? I'll start a separate thread if you like.
