If a Jewish person takes his children to live as a settler in territory that is subject to armed dispute between Jews and Muslims, I would say that at the very least he is deliberately putting them into an extremely antagonistic relationship with Muslims.
Sorry, but I can't think of any reason why someone would move from Europe or America to the occupied territories unless he WANTED to become part of a violent conflict. |
What about Jews who have come from Russia, Eastern Europe, or elsewhere?
I think you have gotten us closer to the heart of the matter, however. There is a certain amount of existential conflict here. Many Israelis cannot imagine giving up their home in Israel, and many Palestinians cannot imagine letting Israelis live in peace. Certainly, anyone going into Israel should be aware they are entering onto the front line of the existential conflict. |
