Who the *bleep* sings paranoid android? I have never heard of this song, but then again I stopped listening to popular music about '93 with the advent of grunge. So of course I voted for Bohemian and Queen. Freddie was a great singer and had a wonderful arse
But then again I have Queen videos on my computer so go figure:D |
PA is a song no one knows apart from some guys who think listening to pompus retards like radiohead makes them "kewl" and "elite". BH is a classic, a song everyone knows and a song that will go down in history as one of those antnems of rock. PA will go down as .... nothing. To go down in history one should first be noticed. Radiohed arent. Their whole OK Computer was a failed album. The worst kind of art is art no one gives a rats ass about. Thats Radiohead. |
Ok....that begs the question of who's Radiohead? Never heard of the band...if it's a relatively current one shouldn't the poll be comparing two songs that are of the same general era? I mean if you are going to compare great rock anthems of the 70s then do so--say Bohemian to Cat Scratch Fever, Detroit Rock City, Back in Black, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida? Those would be good things to compare to each other. Sorry I can't compare newer stuff but I don't listen to it.

so assumably, then, you were living in a cave the year that OK Computer came out? Cause not only did it kill everything else released that year, it was also a huge commercial hit. a failed album? i don't think so. no one gives a rat's ass? i don't think so. once again you are prattling on about things you seem to know nothing about. surprise, surprise... |

| No one aside from some pompous losers even brings up OK Computer in any debate about best albums. "Oh cool, I can sound like Im super duper elite, Ill bring up a shite album like OK Computer in this debate." Is the worse a band is the cooler it is to like them? Is that some kind of mark of being cool? "Hey, Ill like the band that makes the stupidest, most incoherent, most pompous ass crap because that way Ill set myself apart from those who like bands that could actually play and write good music. Cause you know, actually being able to sing and write a good song is such a sell out". |

ok computer was like the top album of all time according to a spin magazine poll, and it sold like crazy, and it's a goddamn masterpiece of rock, so there must be millions of those "posers" out there. to call it incoherent, i don't know what to say, you must be retarded or something.
you want to make an argument that some of their newer albums are pretentios, that's fine, but ok computer and the bends were just amazing rock albums and that's all there is to it. if you can't hear it, you're either too old, totally clueless, or else you have no taste and spend your time waiting for the next christina aguilera video to jack off to.
i saw them in concert and they were great. thom is an amazing frontman and johnny greenwood is one of the most interesting guitarists i have listened to.
and the guy who saw that documentary and said he looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown- he actually did have a breakdown on that tour, but once you've committed yourself to something like that, you pretty much have to go through with it. |

jinju, your schtick is stale. You can only go so far with this anti-intellectual redneck, totally moronic persona. On a messageboard, no less. Go out and drink yourself stupid. Or stupider, in your case.
That's a good lad. Let the big boys and girls play now. |

| Actually, while I do create art, you do nothing but drink yourself into a stuppor you fake degree-owning, cant-stop-drinking, couldnt-create-art-if-your-life-depended-on-it loser. So actually my opinion is a billion times more valuable than yours, because I look at a pathetic pompous idiot like Yorke and judge him from the point of view of an artist. Yorke isnt. hes a poseur who creates dung. Not art. Not music. DUNG. |

This is almost funny. Almost. You're in danger of stretching your resources (ie a thesaurus, a dodgy keyboard and a 6th grade sense of debating skills) too thin, much like Woody Allen has been recently. Maybe you should cut back to one irredeemably awful post a day, and you'll see an improvement. |

wow, jinju, some of these comments are entirely unreasonable.
taste is subjective. some people like things you don't. is that a surprise?
though i'm a radiohead fan, i'd have to agree that bohemian rhapsody is more pervasive and engrained in the culture, and will likely be better remembered in 50 years' time.
this doesn't make BH a "better" song -- whatever that means -- but it is at least arguably measurable in nature, and certainly is a lot more substantial than just the "i'm right, you're wrong, here's a dropkick to your esteem" comments being made now.
are you're talking about snobbery?
