Normal font dude. Why is that so hard.

Because I like this font, dude.

Tips to reduce eye strain

Make sure that the environment that you work in is eye-friendly:

* Arrange your desk so that you are a comfortable distance from the screen with a good posture and hand control at the keyboard. Your eyes should be about level with the top of the screen
* Work from documents at an equal distance to your eyes as the screen so that you don't have to keep readjusting your focus. Use a vertical document holder attached to the side of your screen if it helps
* Adjust the monitor controls until the brightness of the screen feels comfortable
* select a style and size of font (typeface) for your work which is most comfortable for your eyes to read - small fonts can actually causes rises in blood pressure and stress levels

Actually, I tend to agree. But on this one issue, I support much higher taxes. We (I have using the word "we") need to get off the oil. The world over, the wrong people are getting rich from petrodollars. With the right incentives, we can get off oil and help nations like Saudi, Sudan and Venezuela throw their governments in the dust, where they belong.

Man, you're coming off as a complete crank with this huge font. And now an "oldie" crank with that date.

I say this presuming you want to be taken seriously. Why else post, unless you're a sock. Were I your manager, we'd ditch the "loud guy" shtick and post as your own sane self. I mean... the one behind the "meegook" sock. But as I'm not, I recommend carrying on regardless! Funny stuff!! Very Happy

and jesus, if eyestrain is the problem, why don't YOU increase YOUR magnification on your monitor and not be so irksome towards the rest of us simple saps with normal vision.

We just need to force the government to provide the same incentives for bio fuel as we do for oil. The facist corporate/government set-up is what is preventing the use of bio fuels, and nothing else.

The diesel was invented to run on bio fuels. The first diesel ran on peanut oil. Most diesels today can run on biofuels w/little or no adjustment or damage.

In case you hadn't noticed this forum's software is ancient and the new forums are much easier on the eyes.

It's us 'oldies' that are trying to prevent you young know it alls from screwing things up completely before my grandkids are your age.

"If you have to lean forward or backward to read what's on the screen, the text is too small," says Dr. Gaudet. "Increase the point size until you can read it easily while sitting back comfortably in your chair."

What's your problem with my using larger font? It's not huge
, this is huge.

didn't even know about abiotic theory, did you?

Didn't learn that from your evolutionist teachers did you?

The idea that oil came from buried fossil fuels has been outdated for several years now.

Right. But all the scientists are involved in a conspiracy to hide it. I see.

Okay... um... I'm old to the board, but new to Current Events. I still think that there's a feature with your browser that will magnify the screen image. I mean, if posts on Dave's are too small to read easily, then much of the internet will be confoundingly (is that a word?) small as well. So I'd recommend magnifying your screen image. And maybe it's time to increase the prescription on your glasses? (it's not called 'prescription', is it? 'power'?)

I like the way you never state your position so that you get to cry 'straw man' every time someone attributes a position to you.

Anyway, so no, my evolutionist teachers (sorry, in New Zealand we have very few creationists) didn't teach me about abiotic oil. In fact, I had (perhaps mistakenly) understood abiotic theories of oil to be failed soviet science, like soviet genetics. However, you claim that biotic theories of oil are now 'outdated'? Obviously as a creationist you would be naturally inclined towards abiotic theories because of biblical time constraints, but putting that aside, perhaps you would like to present us with the evidence for abiotic oil, so that those of us who know the exact opposite things of what we should can learn more about this discovery?

My prescription is just fine thanks, I just can't believe all the flack over such a small thing as one step up in font size. And I do increase and decrease the font size in View in the browser.

Get over it.

Abiotic oil

Your statement is a strawman because I never said all scientists and I never said anything about a conspiracy.

You attributed those to me.

For a self-confessed educated person, you don't know how to understand what you read and you project unto others what they never said.

Do you have PayPal? You could hire me to tutor you. LOL
