Yes - just make sure to keep your total for each shipment to less than $100 to avoid duty at K customs!

Also, don't underestimate the many cheap'n'cheerful cosmetic shops here when you need a lift. Have fun trying out the multitude of face masks, hair treatments and lipgloss without breaking the budget.

I thought they had raised the non taxable limit to 150$.

Speaking of K customs,

Is it 100 or 150?

I am curious about whether they always go through your stuff or not ???I have had a care package sent to me a while ago and they went through EVERYTHING...

I was angered slightly cause they made a mess of some of the little presents my family sent me !!! Evil or Very Mad

I'm pretty sure I read a month or two ago at the Korean Customs site that the limit is 150$ including shipping. I'd call them just to be sure because cosmetics are a 'luxury' good.

I've been taged for getting mail order clothes over this amount, so I say this is true.

My question to all the other women out their is :

What do you do here to stay beautiful ???

Here are some suggestions I do:

-try to drink lots of water (yeah its tough, but more easily done after you've horked down half a bag of comforting nacho chips)
-get enough sleep
-get exercise, in any form
-go to the sauna
-keep wearing foundation because it does protect and moisterize my skin in this dry weather
-dust some bronzer powder on my cheeks so I don't feel completely washed out during winter
-watch/read something funny to stay lighthearted
-go the hairdressers (I know, gasp !!!) even for a little trim
-deep condition my hair at home
-watch the tyra show

If you want to "shine" especially here in Korea, what do you do?

Women, lets share our thoughts...

by any chance is your theme song "Stupid Girls" by Pink....just curious.

Go to Missha and The Face Shop. They have great products and they always give samples, too. Sometimes, lots! I also like the Body Sho and Lush, but those jokers don't give samples. I loaded up on Shiseido products during my visa run to Osaka. Shiseido is great, but of course, in Korea, the stuff I bought in Japan would cost double the price. I got my stuff for 4777 yen in Osaka. I went to Lotte Dept store tonight and saw sets of Shiseido products for 130,000 won. The bottles were small, too. Lots of sleep and drinking lots of water are things you should definitely keep on doing. Also, drink green tea. Fish, especially tuna, is great for keeping skin elastic, too. Don't eat much junk food either. Of course, lots of drinking and smoking cancels out anything worthy you may do. I have never smoked, and I drink just a little. Suntanning is also a major no-no. My Mom is 57, and she looks way younger. She doesn't smoke or even drink one drop of alcohol. She doesn't suntan either. And guess what white guys?????? She is smaller than your average ajummoni, too!!! And...her hair is not short and permed. Oh yeah, eat as many fruits and veggies as possible...Dark chocolate is FULL of antioxidants, too.

I've ordered and was billed from Strawberry Net here for my sister in Canada. I highly recommend them! Not sure about delivering here, but I imagine that it shouldn't be a problem.

Wow !!!

Nice insult !!! Did that take you all of 30 seconds to think of that one ???

You know, all women want to be attractive (to some degree) and sometimes getting input from others is helpful !!!

As many of us are "stranded" at least for a year here, I think we miss our girlfriends and the stuff we would talk about back home...I know I do !!!

Get loads of sleep, water, and sex; eat well, exercise, and go to the sauna at least once a week; don't smoke; and, most importantly, don't worry about it. Otherwise 'die young and leave a pretty corpse,' I'm afraid, is the only way to be sure.

In all seriousness, eating curry with lots of turmeric (the yellow stuff) is supposed to be good.

Good post! I believe in the curry thing, because spicy foods do have a great effect on the body, such as lowering choelsterol, not to mention hot peppers release the feel-good endorphins in the brain. Having a passionate kiss with someone your nuts about will probably take years off your face. It sure will glow!

Not being a stupid girl all consumed with looks and such it took me about 1 second to think of that. For chris sakes. Drink lots of water, wash face with something like ivory and get some exercise and try reading a freaking book ...book not magazine...you know the ones with just words and not heroin chic sick look women in it.

Come on give it a try!

Be different.

Pink is a beautiful, smart girl who takes care of herself AND wears makeup and I don't think the platinum blond hair is natural!!

How about a 48 hour detox? Probably best to do it over the weekend. Only consume fresh fruit, veg and mineral water and herbal tea. It might give you a headache the second day but keep at it and you'll feel really good afterwards.

Indulging in facials from beauty salons will definitely help withthe 'glow'. Yes it's indulgent but if you've been working hard, a girl is definitely entitiled to a professional facial or two.

Also, get yourself booked in for 경락마사지. It helps to improve lymphatic circulation and helps to tone your skin. Although I go to a professional masseus, if you go to one of those quality 찜질방, they sometimes offer this kind of massage.

Hey OP, if you have good skin, intead of foundation, why don't you try tinted moisturiser? Or just a light base with SPF like clinique city block?

Get knocked up. It does wonderful things for your skin - people will be forever remarking how you 'glow' etc etc...but you may also have other undesired side-effects such as wanting to puke your guts up from morning to night.

On a serious note - if you want to look after your skin, use plain old moisturiser (Nivea will do) twice a day, and keep out of the midday sun. Smile - don't often frown. I have always followed this, and people regularly assume me to be younger than I really am.
