I'm kind of disappointed to find out the girl didn't play it.
That is no slight on the guy who did play it of course, he only
did what he was told.
I know fakery goes on all the time on tv, but in a country
where women are often seen as baby/home makers, it
would have been nice to see a woman truly playing the song. |
Yeah, I agree. I feel sorry for her, and we don't really know what she thinks of the whole thing, as her mom is speaking for her. If they really wanted to find talented female musicians, I know a ton of them who are in bands. For some reason some of the best drummers in this country are girls. |

Looks like they just ajosshied the whole thing. A chance to show a talented female guitarist rocking out and inspiring girls turns into a farce. |

| I'm surprised the video is still up. My brother-in-law made a formal apology, taking credit for showing her how to play the song (which he did--unsuccessfully), and said he didn't know which version they used in the commercial (a bald-faced lie) and that they wound up using hers (also untrue). Daum has been trying to bury this video. Anyway, pretty well every casual observer has figured out the truth, so it doesn't exactly matter now. |
I hope he was well compensated. |

Her talent is she can only play one song, and knows nothing else about how to play guitar. It probably would've made the most sense to have her actually play the song she knows. |

She was on some TV show yesterday. They made a big fuss about how she supposedly plays some other instruments too (not that big of a deal...I have friends who majored in music at university who can play several dozen instruments each). |

My brother-in-law is in a metal band called Downhell. He was hired to play guitar for a commercial for Daum. Take a look.

I know what you're thinking. That's a chick. Well, she's not actually playing that song.
My brother-in-law let slip in an interview that he's really behind that song (as had been rumoured) and now all hell is beginning to break loose. |
I saw that young woman in some advertisements on the subway very recently. They're still trying to promoter her as legitimate? |

His family is rich so he's never had to work hard. Hence, professional guitarist. Also, hence my sister-in-law falling for him (and subsequently metal). |
Your sister-in-law is falling for your brother-in-law? |
