This is such a hard question to answer. Like a previous post asked, what are you interested in doing? I always recommend NYC as, personally, I think it's the greatest city in the world. You can spend all day just absorbing the texture of the burroughs, visiting some of the greatest museums on earth, and eat in awesome restaurants from the local pizzeria to 5-star extravaganzas... Just amazing. I would stay away from the LA's, Miami's as I find those places far to pretentious.
