It would be great to see Martian Manhunter in full action as well as the other guys we've seen so far. I'd love to see a development of Wonder Woman in there as well, especially if they're going to leave out Superman and Batman. They could also add in Black Canary, Green Lantern and a few of the other classics if they could just flesh it out the way Heroes has done for its ensemble cast.

Regarding Lana Lang ... It's true that her character is very flat. She's become more of a Human Plot Device than an actual person; she's there to be rescued by Clark, to make Lex jealous, to get pregnant and then have a miscarriage, etc. By the way ...

Well, I stand informed. That explains the exotic looks. Usually, being half-Asian/half-white myself, I can usually tell at a glance. This is the first time in a long time that I've missed it.
Regarding Chloe:
Even though she's not part of Superman canon, I hope they keep her for a long time. She has the kind of flaws that make for an interesting, developing character. |

| If he speaks Bizarro then they're going to lose a big part of their base of viewers. Hell, I like Superman a lot and even I find the whole Bizarro-speak thing endlessly annoying. I can't imagine a whole bunch of Smallville viewers who don't know the first thing about the Superman comics saying, "Wow! That's so cool the way they make him say everything the opposite of what he really means!" I think a far more likely scenario would be viewers tuning out cause they'd think it was completely retarded. And they'd be right. Bizarro is a great character but Bizarro-speak was never a great idea. |

Their viewers are people who thought Buffy was a good show. I doubt their tastes. |

Yep and I thought Buffy wasn't bad either.  Regardless of whether you liked Buffy or not and even whether you like Smallville or not, the point is that Bizarro-speak won't go over well with the large majority of viewers of anything. It's best if they make him a Bizarro of a different cloth and take us somewhere that hasn't been explored before. |

Just thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead to make a few comments just in case other Smallville fans hadn't heard. Apparently, Welling is signed through to the end of an eighth season so this season won't be the last. Also, Kara will awaken this season (that's Clark's cousin, Supergirl) and apparently will be in full possession of her Kryptonian powers. I've also read that Lana may have actualy died last year and that her return may be due to cloning. Also, that Green Arrow may return halfway through the season (and I hope he'll bring the JLA with him!).
