now this is from dells website, brand new with a core duo and 256 nvidea card 750, and thats new im sure it will cost a couple hundred more with shipping and such but this is off of dells website, youngsan has better deals

I have been building, buying, and selling computers here in Korea for a long time. I am quite aware of the value of a machine.
In your original post you were sure you could get a better machine for the same price in yongsan or lotte mart. BUT you give a link to a US site that is irrelevant, not to mention $500 more expensive than Giant's machine. If I wanted to get a better price on a used machine, I could probably get one off ebay for less. But then I would have to ship it here and pay duties.
Also, whether you agree with it or not, this includes legal software. Take away the value of the software and Giant IS selling the computer quite cheap.
As far as I remember, Giant actually works in the tech field here in Korea so he is not stupid when it comes to computers.
Computers are more expensive when you buy and sell them here. There are a lot of people who will try and sell at over-inflated prices on this board, but Giant isn't one of them.
There are also people, who have no intention of buying, that post ridiculous lowball offers on everything that comes up. Once is one thing, but on every computer that comes up for sale...
By the way, I HATE IT MORE when people try to cut down every offer and give pathetic irrelevant examples to to try and discredit the OP and their sale.
Just because an average computer that was 1.5mil when bought is only worth 400~500 when sold a few years later doesn't mean that a computer that was 3mil when bought should fetch the same price.

| no i completely disagree with you, i have just been to lotte mart and they have better machines there, for 800, and the link i sent you was a machine with better specs then giants for 50 cheaper, and thats in the US, if his macine is such a great deal why hasnt he sold it yet? I SWEAR TO GOD its a rip off, its second hand for christs sake, who the hell is going to buy a second hand laptop with an old processor for that amount of money, you can work in the tech field all you want and still be an idiot when it comes to buying a laptop just go to youngsan and youll see what im talking about |

In the link you provided, none of the rebated prices minus shipping and duties mactched the OP's machine. You are solely basing your opinion on the CPU. Can you buy a CoreDuo machine for under a million, yes. With the same specs, no.
Here are the three you mentioned and their differences

How many times will I have to repeat myself, US prices for computer stuff are CHEAPER than here. You CANNOT compare them with prices here unless you have a mule bringing something over with you. In which case you would still have to pay local taxes over there.
I know yongsan inside and out and I buy pretty much everything from there. I don't know of any new machines that flat out beat this one. In this area and that, of course, but as a whole, NO.
Lotte Mart and any of the big retail chains like E-mart, Hi-Mart and such, sell inferior products to the main branches like LG, or Samsung. How do I know? I know engineers that work for these compananies and there are two production lines, the name brand line and discount store line. There are cheaper (don't let the same specs fool you) parts put in the discount chain computers.
Still, other than some special sales, show me the Lotte Mart machine with better overall specs. Not just the CPU.
You can SWEAR TO GOD and then curse GOD as much as you want. If it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. If it does the person will not be being ripped off.
By the way, if you had ever read any of Giant's tech posts, you would realize he isn't an idiot.

again your talking about a used centrino machine for 800, ok so it has 2gigs of ram...ok how much is a gig of ram maybe 70
and its great you have friends that are computer whatevers but its really obvious that you dont know what the hell you are talking about, a brand new machine at LOTTE MART has better specs then this for the same price, i dont care enough about this to go there and write down everything and proove you wrong but we are now in the age of a new type of processor, they have quad cores out, and at the least you can go dual core, or athlon x2 those are all good but when you are selling a second hand laptop eyars old with a FREAKING CENTRINO in it for the same price you can get a new athelon x2 at youngsan, you got to be an idiot to buy it, and thats the only reason i post to protect those that dont know anybetter then to buy crap one for 800 |

It seems that you are the only one talking out your ass.
This is not my laptop and I have no vested interest in whether it sells or not. If you think you can get a better machine, then go out and get one. You are not protecting anyone by posting your baseless ill-informed information. You are willing to call people who know about computers idiots and liars and you have no proof to back up your claims.
I have nothing else to say. People interested in your assinine ideas can listen to you or not. You know nothing about what you are talking about and any person with decent computer knowledge will realize that. Anyone else will believe you because they are looking for the cheapest price regardless of what they're getting.
Well done for confusing the general population over something you have proved you know nothing about.
BTW
I notice you have now started saying that you can get a better AMD machine. You keep lowering your standards. AMDs are cheaper to begin with.  |

I just dont think its right for someone to come on this forum and try to sell a product for so much, and then when someone like spliff makes an offer of 550 he goes too far and calls him a troll, i love when people come on here and tell the seller they should lower there price cause its too much because there are newbies that will buy a modded ps2 for 400 dollars when they could go to youngsan and get them for 100. Learn how to read and then come back. I never said that AMDs suck, I said the are CHEAPER. The price of AMD computers are CHEAPER you dumbass. I don't need to go anywhere becasue I know the prices. Are you even aware that the new chips in some computers are still called Centrinos?(Centrion Core2Duos) Probably not because that would require you to look at the actual specs of the machine instead of only the basic numbers and price.
You can call me a dumbass, a smartass or whatever ass you want to but at the end of the day you still spout $hit out of your mouth. Take away Office and V3 and the computer is being sold for about W650,000 or so. At that price your assertions are flat out wrong. With the software at the price it is being sold, it is not an amazing deal, but it is fine. Grow a brain, don't start talking about warranty and start adding in this and that excuse everytime you are proved wrong.
Also, if it were the first time spliff had made an offer, I wouldn't have said anything. The original point, if you even read it, was that he posts EVERY TIME with a ridiculous offer. That, in my books, is a troll. |

I made a serious offer on a used laptop in this forum and am now being accused of trolling...errrr, excuse me for not wanting to pay an exuberant price for a used piece of equipment that might very well crash a week after it's purchase leaving me to foot the bill on a warranty-less service charge. And, furthermore, I withdraw my offer as I was under the impression that this was a straight core 2...it's a centrino!
